Was going to hold out to see if I could get a new V8 for ~$400 but didn’t see any offers that good for BF, and I really want to replace our old Kmart vac before Christmas. We have half carpet and half wood/tile floors in our apartment so this seems like a good shout.

You can return used. Keep everything, including the box, you need to return with all the accessories.

Got v15 for about $1100 (Dyson website plus 7% cash rewards). This is $400 cheaper but I’m thinking it’s worth the extra $400 right? If anyone could comment that would be amazing! I’m using basically only on hard woods so I thought that laser light feature was worth it including the unique head?
The 15 has more improvements than just the laser. Although there does come a point of dimi n ishing returns when it comes to flagship models of products.

This time round I didn't quite get why this deal was so popular. If you're going to splurge this much on a vacuum cleaner you might as well spend a bit more to enjoy the newest bells and whistles. Dyson's appear to keep their value over the years so I think you'll end up having a much better experience without as much depreciation compared to this v10.

deal's over - DYSV10A50 no longer working so can't purchase. Hopefully we will see further price drop in this model in the coming month. Hoping boxing day is the next big sale
I received mine the other day, and tried it in the house and the car, I'm actually severely underwhelmed. this is going from a dyson ball corded one to this. But yeah it's like it didn't pick up everything that's for sure. I mean yeah it's alright to move around, but I feel the ball head doesn't move around as nice. Contacted Dyson, she said yeah this one's suction isn't as good as a corded one, but… V11 and higher should be good, or if you want the best, Gen 5 Detect… lol
Anyways I ended up returning it.
On another note, she said since I bought the dyson and have returned it, I am now eligible for 20% off any dyson products if I want to consider any of the other ones…
Huge difference between V10 and V15. But V11 and 12 come close to V15. Frankly, i am not sure how much difference you will notice when you haven't tried the bigger vacuum. Its like difference between 65 and 75 inch tvs. At home, the difference may not be that much but looks huge when comparing side by side.
