Got the recent JB Telstra deal and wondering for the price, would as a whole in your opinion - what would be the better phone on a normal day by day use?
The iPhone 14 Standard or the iPhone 13 Pro.

You will most likely be choosing between 14 Pro and 15
14 Pro, for Dynamic island and some other improvements like always on display. 13 Pro is fine though if you can get it new at a big discount.
14 pro took a big jump, i would get 14 pro.
120hz is the biggest jump in 'performance' on any of the models of iPhone in the last few years. So 13 Pro
if you can't budget isn't enough for getting the 14pro and you not willing to stretch it(or wait for another 10%~15% off Apple GC, and then wait for another Apple Cashback to stack on top)
13 pro would be your only other option.
regular 14 is using the same processor as the 13 pro, without a 120Hz screen and been cut corners at some other place too, it's hardly even an option tbh.

Depends on what you want. One of the reasons why 13 pro is “better” choice is that the 14 and 14 Plus actually use the same CPU as the 13 series.
So 14 may only last as long as 13 series.
Of course Pro series has the better lens etc. as well.
So if the price is comparable, 13 Pro is a better choice.

I meant that from the perspective of CPU, 12 Pro or earlier models might not necessary be a better choice.
