I'd lean towards no. The e-ink screen refreshing will probably frustrate seniors trying to change settings on a laggy screen. Getting books on it might be a challenge unless you do it for them. I'd also advocate against e-readers that require you to swipe a finger to turn the page as that gets old real fast. Physical buttons are where it's at.
Managing the books and the settings would be fine.
My worry was around if I'm not home, would picking the device up to start reading be simple?
Appreciate the feedback, was unsure if the swiping for the pages was nice or not. might need to find a friend with one to trial for a day.
You don't need to swipe with this. You just tap towards the edge to flip to the next page
Yep if everything is set up ready to go, I don't see any issue with anyone older using it. If you get one, best to sit with them to set it up to their preference and then the next time they use it, all they need to do is press the on button and it'll load up whatever they were reading last.
@Vavoom: If you get a $15 cover for it you don't even need to hit the power button, just open and start reading.
Yes.
My mother is in her 70s and I bought her one and she loves it

Is there particular steps I need to follow before applying the coupon? Or it's expired? Cause it said "This code can't be applied to your order." Thanks.
Not sure if code is still active - here are the terms

The price has gone back up now however - so I'll mark the deal as expired
Are kindle any good for seniors?
Hoping an e-reader will help due to the variable Text size, but am worried that this may still be difficult to teach. (Currently struggling with a different remote for a TV due to new TV)
