Order items individually with separate click through from SB CR, as they may void CB if an item is not fulfilled due to stock availability.

    • +2

      MVP

    • +2

I think you meant CR. Good advice for returns too. Make sure you generate a new click for each transaction.

    • -1

      click through from SB

      Why from SB ?????

      • +2

        Haha meant CR.

        • Damn !!! Too late now 😢

          Hope SB honour it…

    • Gotta meet the min spend for delivery though :(

      • I got a bunch of things delivered. In one box they accidentally sent only a single shoe. Had to return the whole order as it'd invalidate the Cashback and the support staff don't know what cashrewards/shopback are :(

Moral of the story. Click and collect

        • Maybe you should just ask to get that other shoe rather than refund, this you you keep your casback.

          • @foxmulder: I tried… No luck. Apparently it'd still be an exchange. I ended up getting it cheaper off iconic anyway, but it's a good lesson

    • So there's no limit on number of Cash Reward transactions?

      • Your wallet is the limit :)

  • Did anyone item get tracked by CS for 20% for Myer last week?

    • +2

      Yep

    • I got 10% unfortunately.

Not sure if I can cancel the deal and use this cashback instead.

    • Mine did not track as well. Hmm I just checked

  • +1

Cashback is compensated at Myer's discretion and its decision is final.

    wtf crap is this?

    • +1

Applies to all stores. The stores are paying Cashrewards the affiliate bonus and they decide if your transaction met the requirements.

      • +3

Meeting the requirements should be automated and not based on a store's (i.e. staff member's) discretion.

        • Sometimes the referral can be attributed elsewhere, e.g. Shopback or someone raises a ticket that their cashback didn't track. These require someone to actually go and check.

          • @Clear: That's an exception and doesn't invalidate the rule.

            • @DevGuy: The rule has been on there for years and CR have never had any issues with approvals.

              • @Clear: Fair enough, I didn't realise the stores could say no even if the cashback is warranted.

wrt Myer specifically, I have had the lowest hit rate on tracking, and multiple times had to get CR to investigate to award the CB.

I feel like Myer is for a higher class of citizen than myself. Everytime I see they have specials on I go to check it out and feel it's still way too expensive. Maybe I'm just looking at the wrong stuff

    • +1

Of course mate… someone has to pay for the ir huge malls in the city centers… and this someone is you… ;) It's much better to buy from factory outlets than Myer.

    • +1

I’m dolla rich. Mentally poor. I feel the same. It’s my hard earned money and I don’t feel like spending them at anything there 🤕

    • Occasionally you find good deals, but yeah, they're far and few between. You have to browse a lot of pages, or hope someone here does the work for you, and posts something.

    • +1

Not always about the amount of money you have, some people are just more careful with it :) I have a mate with 3 houses who'd be mortified to shop there lol

  • Any chance of Target?

  • +1

Purchase cancellations, returns and refunds. - Had one, lowest value item from a $200 order cancelled by Myer due to stock unavailability. And they are refunding via Returns card? Why refund in the form of a return card and not straight refund to card? Any idea if CR will track through? Also, its been 2 weeks and no sign of the return card, is it sent by post?

  • Does this include items already on sale?

    EG. https://www.myer.com.au/p/lacoste-graduate-bl21-sneakers-whi…

These are on sale at $111.96 (from $159.95) - would 22% discount be ontop of this?

    • +1

      On sale items are fine.

      • Fantastic, seems like some good discounts on offer then.

    • Yes

  • Does it include KitchenAid mixers?

  • Seems like there might be some decent prices for Tissot watches if included in the cashback (i.e. PRX models)

  • +1

Anyone know if Dyson vacuums fall under electronics? If 22% off the V8 on sale for $475 might be a good deal…

    • it`s 22%, or just 10%? wait for an answer as well.

      • I think looking at comments on older Myer threads that it will be 10% but if anyone can confirm that would be great! Would pick it up for 22% off but if only 10% I’ll wait…

        • Seems pretty sure that it will fall under "electrical appliances", and therefore 10%. I'm looking at a coffee machine and expect the same treatment.

    • +1

I just bought one and cashback tracks straightaway at 10%

  • +1

    Does it include kid strollers?

  • I placed an order last 20% cashback promo and have ~$40 cashback tracked.
There was a free promo item that was automatically added to the order which was, of course, cancelled later due to being out of stock.
I’m assuming that’s still gonna void my entire cashback?

  • +1

What rate is it for the Myer Christmas bears ?

    • Thanks for this comment as it reminded me to get one :)

But I assume its "toys" and hence 10%. Also, you get 20% off on it if you buy something else in the xmas range.

  • myer website got ozbargained, lol, so slow now

  • So partial payment with giftcards are ineligible for cashback? I know the first dot point says as much but the previous SB cashback had similar terms but people in the thread said that you could use gift cards for partial payment and it would still track the remaining amount.

    • +1

People do comment their part payment with gift cards tracked for the remainder in cashback Deals…

      But beware - there's a huge difference between…
Receiving tracking notification (just shows what you spent & estimated cashback - if you followed the rules)
      &
Actually receiving any cashback up to 110 days later - which will likely be refused by Myer for not followed the rule:
Cashback is ineligible on redemption of gift cards for full/partial payment

  • +1

Just so I understand this, I use the link via the Cashback website which redirects me to the Myer website.
I then order an item (that is eligible) and if approved, the 22% will be return to my Cashback account?
There's nothing that shows Cashback on the Myer website but it's all good?

    • Yup.
You can check back in on your Cashback account for your 'Click History' which will show that you've gone to Myer using the referral link from CB. If there's any issues you can raise a dispute using that click activity as proof. You should get an email from them confirming it's tracked (can take up to 3 days though)

      • @SpiffyTheDog awesome, thanks for the confirmation mate.

        • As per terms as well, it can take "up to 110 days" for the cashback to appear in your account

      • And make sure to follow the usual rules for cashback sites ….. turn off any ad blockers, and after clicking the referral link don't visit any other sites until you have completed the purchase.

        • Great, thanks a lot for that. Never done cashback before so want to make sure I do it right.
          Good advice here, thanks.

  • does anyone know if mattress is part of this promo?

  • Any thing decent to buy from Myers with this cashback?

  • I bought bread machine before, said on special so no cashback. Be careful what you are buyi .

    • My air fryer was on special. Nothing in the terms or on the Myer website suggested no further discounts/offers. I've taken a screenshot. If they don't honour the cashback they'll be hearing from me AND the ACCC will be getting a complaint. The primary reason I bought was the $45 cashback on top of the Philips $100 cashback. The sooner these cashback offers are regulated the better.

  • 100 votes but doesnt seem to be any deals even with 22% cashback.

    • +1

100 votes but doesnt seem to be any deals for me even with 22% cashback.

FTFY. I needed a whole new wardrobe and there's plenty of good stuff on sale.

      • +1

In my experience, Myer items need to be about 75% on sale to actually be on sale. Anything under 50% discount is just their normal price with their constant fake sales.

  • +1

    From the CR website offer:
Cashback is compensated at Myer's discretion and its decision is final.

Know your consumer rights people. This is bullshit. Cashrewards and Myer have made an offer, they MUST under consumer law make good on that offer (with some minor exemptions). Dangling the bait then not delivering is known as inducement/false or misleading conduct, or colloquially as bait and switch.

    • It's never been an issue for transactions in the 2 years it has been listed.

      • Good to know. First time I'd seen the statement and it was concerning.

The CR comment is still bullshit. No different from websites which make arbitrary statements regarding warranty (eg you pay for return freight, playing on consumers' lack of knowledge of complete statutory warranty rights, etc).

        • +1

The terms are set out by the store so in this case it's a condition from Myer.

          • +1

@Clear: A condition they cannot set without clear reason. CR would do better to state that "Myer claims….."

  • For myer cb, what does apparel fall under? Is it 'home'?

  • +2

Called the wife earlier to let her know about the CR by 2pm and to send me screenshots of any toys she wants to get for the kids for Christmas. She sent screenshots of Sass and Bide pants and top.

Her outfit is getting delivered next week.

  • +2

I’d love Myers cash back sales to go to 11:59pm atleast one day! I’m too unorganised, need more time!

    • +1

Same here. I stupidly read AEST, even had items in the cart and just missed out :(

      • +1

Glad I’m not the only one, happens to me every time they run it for 3 hours. 2pm comes too quickly!

  • Has anyone here experienced issues with purchasing online from Myer?

I've been getting the following error since yesterday:

    403 ERROR

I reached out to livechat and they said it's happened to a few other customers but they have just waited it out with successs. I don't know if the issue is because I'm currently overseas? That wouldn't make sense but there's no other explanation.

    • turn off your VPN.

      • I wasn't using one - I was overseas at the time. On the contrary, I had to turn ON my VPN to get it working. Pretty odd that I wasn't able to purchase from Myer whilst abroad.

        • I have had the same issue with Myer and JB in the past and could only get around by setting my VPN to Australia. It does seem like they block overseas traffic.
