$599 dad. Tell us the shop Dad!

  • Hi how much is the savings?

    • About 20% off the standard RRP of this pack - which seems to be a promotional item / discontinued as a pack.

      • Thanks last year was cheaper i think

  • No stock in SA and not available online

    • oh bought mine online yesterday online

  • It’s not that bad. It’s a whole set that just works. Mine sans bridge from a previous bargain is in the same ballpark. If I add a bridge, it would be more expensive than $600

  • Someone explain how does this get me into Yale?

Instructions unclear. Ended up in community college.

I picked up the last one of these in the ACT at this price a couple of days back.

As this is limited stock at OW, there is a similar deal on Amazon for $571 - https://www.amazon.com.au/Yale-Unity-Entrance-Lock-Bridge/dp…

Amazon deal doesn't include the keypad (but does include the hub). The keypad can currently be had for ~$70 at JB, OW, Amazon, etc.

May work out cheaper if you have some discounted Amazon gift cards.

A couple of complaints / things to be aware of, now I have 2 of these locks:

    1. The auto unlock feature can only be enabled on 1 lock in your house. This is a big negative (and not publicised anywhere) as it is this feature that unlocks the door when you come home automatically. Without this, you need to unlock the door with the app on your phone, the keypad or one of the key tags you get with the lock. There are workarounds for this - if you have Home Assistant, or Apple Homekit you can set up an automation to unlock the door when you return home. But it's a bit of a dick around.
    2. The keypad can only be paired with a single lock (The exception to this is if you have a Unity lock on your screen door and front door, you can use the keypad to unlock both)
    3. The locking / unlocking mechanism is fairly noisy.
    4. If you can get hold of this at OW, make sure you get all 3 boxes (lock, hub, keypad) - they come in separate boxes and the OW staff may not be aware that they are sold as a pack.

All in all, pretty happy with them.

    • I havent installed my second yet but I'm pretty sure that all changes if you purchase Bridge Connect Plus
      https://www.yalehome.com/au/en/stories/news/yale-connect-plu…

      • I was wondering the same thing - so I sent their support email that very question a couple of days back. No response as yet.

However, I'm unsure if you are correct, as the DualDoor functionality makes specific mention of the screen door and entry door - it doesn't mention 2 entry doors being set up in this way.

  • Can I buy this one to get an offer from Yale Uni?

    • you will get a certificate when you bought it

      • Great haha, cheers mate!

2 at Mt Gravatt arent the kit, it doesn't come with the Connect and keypad. I check the box and got refund.

office works are knobs. I ordered one thinking bargain. Wifey drove an hour though traffic to collect. it is just the lock, does not include the bridge connect or the keypad. they have put in the incorrect picture and description. They do not have the kit that includes the keypad and bridge, so thier best offer to remedy it is to refund. The RRP is $630, so $599 is nothing special. there are better deals out there. Office works are on my shit list for this!

    • I mentioned this in my comment above. It comes as 3 seperate boxes / components. The product on their website (and hence the description and picture) is correct for that product code - YAYURKPAD.

You need to make sure the store gives you each seperate component / box (Lock, Hub and Keypad).

The RRP of this kit combination which was only stocked by OfficeWorks was ~$750.

I know the above as I've been following the market for this lock for the last 6 months..

    • that happen to me a Mt Gravatt, i ordered online. The one online comes all in one box. I can take photos and show you.

  • Worked with this lock for a couple months now, worst electronic lock to buy. Not enough support from Lockwood Australia/ASSA ABLOY to help you if you ever get stuck. They just handball you around to technical support, who still have no idea how to help you.
    Issues:
    - Keypad barely syncs with some locks
    - Lock can lock 30sec automatically if settings arent changed on the app initially. So keep your phone or keytags nearby otherwise you're locked out if you dont have a keypad.
    - Main issue - is the app. Outdated and needs to be revised. Consistent syncing issues.

Not worth the headaches, get a better lock from another brand. Possibly cheaper price cause OW know the issues with them.
