Don’t know difference between V7 and V8 other than V8 is wifi6 and ansi450lumens

I think Yaber Projector V8 in USD is US$158.

  • Doesnt the V7 have auto keystone?

    • Possibly, that could be the 6D correction for V7 vs 4D correction for V8 they put up in the photos

  • Good price compared to the usual V6 at $289

    $147.92 usd with coupon BFS13

    • $146.32 USD for me using BFS13 for the V8.

      • Sounds like you have coins stacked.

        • Oh yeah must have had some left over from ages ago though! Haven't bought from Ali since before the pandemic started.

      • I'm getting 135 usd.

    • BFS13 + UAJTN3J4C4SH
Brings V7 Pro down to $194.87USD

  • Link for v7?

    • Just go to the store and you'll see the V7

      • Thanks

This is what Hoyts and Greater Union use, right?

  • Your USD prices seem to be different?

    I see:
    V8 - $158 USD
    V7 - $210 USD

    • Thanks I’ll update… I paid $239 but when I tried to get a link it had 198usd

  • Would the V7 with auto keystone trump the V8 with extra lumens for image quality? Brighter is obviously helpful, but I'm guessing the auto keystone would keep the image crisper towards the edges?

I think brighter image, and its almost $50 USD less

You just set the keystone manually anyway

Depends on your room, if you have a dedicated room with really good blockout curtains then lower brightness is OK, but in my experience, everywhere else brighter = better. With 85" LED TVs for relatively cheap these days, the only benefit of projectors is when you go >100" and for that you need high brightness. I have a 6000 lumen Sony laser projector and I LOVE when I can fill a wall with a 6m wide movie. Its just so immersive to watch.

      • And portability, this would be cool to set up outside or bring to friend place

    • I went with the auto keystone. I can see that being a pain if you don't have set spot for it. Ended up being 180usd delivered after all the coupons

  • Cheers, thx OP! So glad there's Aliexpress to bypass the Australia dumping ground model lol.

  • any good for outdoors?

    • Mine is indoor but it’s not bad with lights on.

Everything is good except the fan noise which is common for this type of projector.

Their customer service is located overseas but reply email daily.

      Overall 4 out of 5.

  • Thanks OP, just bought the V8

  • The yaber v8 or this one for 30% cheaper? Both 1080p, yaber has 450 ANSI vs 300 (I think) but it has 4.5/5 stars

It's got 30% less ansi lumens too. Contrast ratio is better on the yaber.

    • I got this delivered today. Yet to test it out. If i dont like it ill just return it. Amazon returns are the best.

      • Ah nice, mind letting me know how you find it?

I ended up ordering both to potentially return the Amazon one or cancel the shipment of the AliExpress one. Amazon returns indicate package has to remain unopened though but as you and many people say, Amazon seems pretty lenient

Just received it and it's godawful, felt dizzy after 10min 😅 here's hope the yaber V8 pro will be worth the wait and extra money, returning this one in the meantime

        • Why did you feel dizzy?

          • @Jklaro: Half of the screen is out of focus. Am I doing something wrong? There's only the focus and Keystone wheel so not sure what other setting to adjust

            • @rwandrall: Yer that sounds strange. Does it fix if you centre the projection with wall?

Just went and got my yaber v8 since it was sitting in the aupost DC since Friday. I love it, didn't expect such a good quality. Plugged in my Chromecast and now watching Netflix. Love it . Thanks OP

          • @Do I NeedThis: Awesome. How did you find out it was at auspost DC? Aliexpress tracking just says "at destination country"

            • @rwandrall: I missed the first attempt and was taken to DC/business centre as my local aupost (may have run out of room) redirected most parcels to DC that day. But I was at work, so had to pick up yesterday since they operate Monday -Friday.

              • @Do I NeedThis: Nice. I wasn't expecting delivery before the 30 Dec as indicated on Aliexpress. Enjoy!

  • Thank OP, got V8 for AUD 210. Stacked with Spend & Save, Store discount and BFS13.

  • Went for the Ace K1 with the 600 ansi lumens. About $415 with shopback but I think it's worth it over the V7

  • Any decent fanless options?

  • Just love their ad has a guy playing ps5 using xbox controller off this projector. Got one thanks

    • Probably hooked up to his neighbours wifi too

  • Just got my V7, is the fan meant to run quite loud?
