I don't have any experience with this unit at all to be honest, but I'm about to try! I have a kitten and an old cat but I don't think either will have issue with it (hopefully)

No, my cat hated and this expensive cat toilet is now back in a box.
You will need extra patience for old cats. My cat takes 2 months to become fully comfortable with this product. And I always kept the traditional cat litter just for backup.

The whole idea of a catgenie is great. No more picking up litter no bad smell.
But the reality….
So my honest experience with this is:
- the granules are tiny and bother the cats feet
- the granules spreaded around the house
- it got blocked so many times
- my older cat hated everything about it
- the younger cat only used for wee
- it is loud (unless you have a room that the door can be closed).
- it is bulky
In the end, after 1.5 years i put it back on the box and changed back to litter (tofu clumping ones).
Others may have better experience…
$379 is a big gamble if this ends up as trash
