Help Please! Rate This Mid-Range Gaming PC - Power and Value for 1440p/144hz Gaming - Budget $2000

I'm looking for a mid range desktop PC for gaming. I built my own i7/gtx 970 back in 2015 and am looking to upgrade now, but looking for a pre-built this time around. I've gotten some great advice from OzB back when I was researching that one, so hoping to get some thoughts this time around as well.

Saw this at BPC for $2000

  • i5 12400F
  • GTX 3070
  • 32GB DDR5 RAM

PC part picker comes in an at about $2030, which sounds good, although I'm not 100% certain I entered all the components correctly.

I've got a 1440p 144hz G-Sync monitor and am looking for something that will reliably run modern games at those resolutions and framerates.

Grateful for your thoughts:

  • Is the linked BPC build good value for money?
  • Is an i512400F/GTX 3070 a good combination to aim for my needs?
  • Any other Black Friday deals I should be looking at? I've been hoping Techfast would put out a more mid-range offering, but haven't seen anything yet. Budget is around $1500-$2000, but can be a little flexible if there's a really good value option.

Thanks everyone.

Compared to this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/720558), which was posted a few months ago and all PC parts prices have dropped significantly since then, it’s pretty poor value. Sure it doesn’t have DDR5 memory but it’s really not worth it vs the marginal gains in FPS (if any at all) using DDR4 at the moment and you probably only need 16Gb RAM for gaming for now. The case also has pretty bad airflow. With those specs in the deal you posted, I’d say it’s probably considered a good deal for $1200 or less.

  • I have a Ryzen 3600/GTX 3070 and game at 1440p, 165hz just fine. In Warzone 2.0 I'm getting around 100fps, but your CPU should be much better suited for it.

I'd be waiting for TechFast or equivalent have some deal either today or Monday.
