I've had one of these for a number of years. I'm not a fan of the design. It's a bit clunky and has sharp edges which isn't comfortable. Note that it locks open but doesn't lock closed which if you have kids you can be reverse to what you want. It's otherwise lasted a long time and hasn't broken or rusted so.

  • Milwaukee one is about the same price and one of the knives has storage for extra blades.

Haven't used the Kincrome but the Milwaukee has been great for me.

Would recommend a one handed opening/closing knife like the Milwaukee fastback or Fiskars Utility Pro (my personal favourite). The Kincrome has the classic clumsy 2 handed locking spine which is a pain for doing functional work.

Total tools have Milwaukee 2 pack for $26.40.

Bunnings stock the Fiskars for around $25 for a single.

  • I bought a two pack of the K6100 (similar but plastic rather than metal) from the bargain bin at Bunnings Gungahlin for $11.99 yesterday.

  • I have had these for a number of years. Hard to open with one hand and after alot of use the blade retention mechanism becomes weak ( it's just thin metal with a punch hole clip).
