Now THAT is some good discounting, none of that lame 75% off overpiced crud that get's wheeled out year after year for most other games!

  • +4

    WOW

    • +32

No, World of Warcraft is not included

      • My bad, I should find it in Xbox store.

        • Rip

  • +2

Holly cow it’s actually a great deal even just for the nostalgia of some of these games.

  • +7

Aren't some of these games free?

    • +5

I think I got like half of them free from buying some video card in 2003 which was meant to come with Half Life 2, but since it was delayed they gave several of these in the meantime until it was released.

Also that was nearly 20 years ago now, these games are definitely pretty oldschool.

      • +1

Haha me too! Except in my case my boss at the time threw the voucher card at me that came in the video card box as payment for installing it in his PC at work so he could play quake on lunch breaks 😜😝 Good times! Was a Radeon 9800 I think? Oh yeah here we go https://www.gamespot.com/articles/ati-offers-bonus-to-half-l…

        • Whoo! I played Half-Life 2 on the first PC I built myself which was packing a Radeon X800XT!

          • @Shenannigoat: Fans released a VR version this year that's meant to be a faithful adaptation, not to mention scary af in VR

            • @Meconium: I’d be keen to try it but I don’t have any VR gear, or even know anyone who does.

  • +10

Grabbed this for both my kids Steam accounts.

Looking forward to destroying them in CS: Source on the weekend.

Not long ago that game alone was $14.50. likewise with HL2. They were all on the wishlift waiting for a sale. Which was much better than I expected tbh

    • +4

      Awesome parent!

      • +1

Just glad I didnt cave in and pay the $14.50 as I was waiting for quiet a while and it never felt like the same was coming. I did a double take when I saw the price for the game was $1.45… but I decided to go all out and spend an entire 10 bucks each on them to have a huge library of great games.

  • +1

    Counter strike for life!

    • +1

      you take the point

      • +4

        sprays custom import team logo
        …"go go go!"

  • bbbut most servers for most games are dead!

  • +5

I got valve complete pack for $99 usd in 2008

    • +3

14 years ago when the games were quite fresh. I still think these games hold up really well today. Not just for nostalgic sake but they are really well made, fun games. It's a shame valve doesn't make many games anymore

      • Can't beat half life story line. Even the expansions made it more in-depth.

    • +6

I'm trying to find my purchase… but can't. Was before that, ~2004-2005 I think it was "Orange Box"… had like 5 highly regarded valve games. First steam purchase. Insane value at the time. Stopped ~15 year habit of pirating most of my games.

I got my first home, mortgaged to the eyeballs… and just rinsed this series & "ate noodles" for a few years - had ZERO dollars left… so I could keep my foot in the door.

Just ya regular aussie story, LOL.

      (cool story bro)

      • +1

Rocking a 2012 PC, xbox 360 and wiiU here, though not skimping on the food 😉

      • I picked up the Orange box for $9.99 USD in 2009. Prior to that I had never purchased a digital game on Steam and it was the physical games CD-Keys being used.

I remember having the Half Life 2 Ultimate Collectors Edition or whatever it was called on launch day. Very rare for me to pay the launch day pricing and buy and ultimate edition. But I didn't hesitate with that.

  • +1

I wish people still played CS:S, I loved that game when I was a teenager 🥲

    • +8

Strongly disagree. CS1.5 was peak CS.

      • Bunny :)

      • I was a bit late to that party, CS:S was my introduction to the series.

    • +15

1.6 is better. We should start an OzB server.

      • +1

1.3 closely followed by Beta 5

        • Oh yeah Beta!

      • +3

        1.6 was perfection

      • I'm in

        • Same!

      • +1

please let me know when this happens

      • 100%, count me in.

    • CS 0.6 was where it was at…

      • 0.6?? When was that?

  • +2

Are any of the games scary or contain jumpscares?

    • +1

L4d I guess is kinda scary depending your tolerance?

    • +5

Half life 2, ravensthorpe chapter would be closest.

Left 4 dead 1 and 2 are zombie games, but though can be played solo def best co op. And have minor jump scares.

      • +2

        We don't go to Ravenholm

        Zombies!

  • +1

    Yes.

E.g. Half life series has some.

  • Thanks bought to give the HL2 VR Mod a go. https://store.steampowered.com/app/658920/HalfLife_2_VR_Mod/

  • +5

Some of these are nostalgia only, but both Portals and Half Life 2, and it's Episodes 1 and 2, are still some of the best games available in 2022.

(Some would even include Half life 1 and a few of the others in that category too).

    • +2

These are all im interested in as i own l4d2, seems better to buy them individually
Edit- orange box is only $2.95 for me so went with that

  • +7

Some of my most fondest gaming memories were the literal hundreds of hours I spent on 24/7 Aussie 2fort servers

    • +1

Which class did you main :D

    • +1

      Ditto!

    • +2

Me and my friend used to do the same. Both as engineers (whilst doing our actual engineering degrees) we would set up in the enemy base and spam intelligence 'we have taken the…. we we we we we we we we we we we we we we". We were so immature haha.

  • Anyone know if this gives you CSGO Prime or if it just gives you the base game, which is already free…

    • Base you pay extra for prime within game

  • +1

Loved these games as a kid, used to play TFC in the late 90's. The free mods (that are now supposedly paid in this post) were TFC, Deathmatch Classic, Riccochet & Day of Defeat. Not sure about DOTA2 I assume that was free as well.

  • most of these are free now

  • +2

    What about half life 3?

  • I miss the silent AWP sound by quick swapping a nade in cs1.6

  • +3

Should note that portal rtx (a graphical remake from what I read) is free to owners of the original portal (listed in this bundle) and is meant to come out this month.

  • Most are free but for that price why not? Lol does bring back some memories. GOG has many discounts recently too for anyone that wants to check it out!

  • I just got the whole pack for $0.00 ! Anyone else have this happen?

    • +4

It gets discounted based on games you already own.

      • +1

I realize that but I only owned a few of them previously? Not to worry.

  • +1

Bought for Portal 1 and 2. Planning to try them out sometime

    • +6

I’m from the future. You never end up playing them.

  • if anyone is interested i brought a $50 steam giftcard instead of roblox for my son ..selling $40 if interested

    • interested mate. couldn't message you. message me if you like. cheers.

      • @bankstownbrats

I've amended the deal post to include several smaller Valve Software bundles of series-specific games (e.g. The Orange Box), whose prices have also come close to (or have reached) ATL prices. These are listed in their own tables, below the Valve Complete Pack bundle table.

This should help folks who may already own some of the titles in the all-encompassing Valve Complete Pack bundle, and may find the smaller bundle(s) more useful to round out their library/collection of Valve Software games.

  • Im only interested in single player games - none of the online shooters etc. Whats the best pack for me to get? If i want the half life games, left for dead(s) and portal(s), am i best to just pay for the whole pack….?

  • Dota 2, Free to Play. what a joke.
When I started to play Dota2, my family thought I was addicted to drugs.

    • My thoughts too "why would you list a free game in a paid bundle?"

  • +2

Upvoted just for the high-effort post!

  • excellent deal but already have all in library

  • +5

I love the way Steam looks at what is offered and what you already have and does a cost reduction.

    • +1

      $0.03 haha

    • Sometimes it seems like Valve is the only game company that thinks "what actually makes sense?" in addition to what everyone else focuses on ("what will make us the most money in the short term?")
