  • Any info on the chipset in the NVMe one?

Edit: A review has a CrystalDiskMark screenshot which reads RTL9210B.

    • Hopefully it is RTL9210B as that'll be better than the usual JMicron. I checked orico.cc and their specs didn't specify.

      • Looking at the pictures the reviewer also had another enclosure so it's possible it was that one that was benchmarked. with KDiskMark and not CrystalDiskMark. Ordered one anyway for the cheap price.

Wish the Jeyi i9 GTR were $20 again as it's toolless, fully metal, and has the RTL9210B.

  • Some of those images seem to be mislabelled or mirrored, showing M-key (NVMe) on the left and B-key on the right. Beware!

    • There's 3 different models on sale with different M and B key support. Their description does state what each supports.

      (1)SATA 5Gbps Model
Only support NGFF SATA protocol B key/M&B Key SSD, with 30cm type-c to USB 3.0 cable.

      (2)NVMe 10Gbps Model
Only support NVME PCI-E protocol M key/M&B Key SSD, with 30cm type-c to type-c cable.

      (3)SATA&NVMe Dual Protocol Model-C to C Cable
Support M Key(NVMe Protocol) / M&B Key (both NVME and SATA Protocol) SSD, not compatible with B Key SSD, with 30cm type-c to type-c cable.

  • Arrived. It took a surprising amount of force to get the m2 card to go properly into the slot, so the hole for the plug was aligned.
    Realtek RTL9210B-CG SerialNumber: 012345679039 :)

    Read rate: 446.6 MB/s (100 samples)
    Write rate: 142.7 MB/s (100 samples)

So only 3.6Gbps read. USB port is 3.1 . Anyone better?

    • USB 3.1 Gen1? What SSD?

      • gen1? … ah, i see, 3.1-gen1 is actually rebranded 3.0. That explains it, thanks. Chipset is Intel® Q270 .
