haha bloody hell how quick are you mate, i just got the email pop up and went to hit post HAHA

bit sad its online only, i usually like to walk around and see these kind of things in person first, many times not as good as it is in the photos I find.

    • Order on your phone while in store for click and collect?

Not sure how long they take, maybe go to the Cafe / restaurant while waiting, just walking to these will be an hour alone, if not 10

      • +2

my local one is usually about half a day based on my past click and collect experiences, though that was towards the end of the last big wave of covid.

  • +2

From memory though, doesn’t IKEa charge click and collect fees? In which case a straight $100 spend might be negated somewhat to 5%’ish discount only

    • C&C seems to be $5 flat fee. On the plus side you'll probably save more buying online, as you won't buy lots of stuff you didn't intend to (e.g. if you shop in person "oh I may as well pick up a new kitchen storage system while I'm here…")

      • well, I guess a $5 saving is still that — but a little complicated for me since I was popping down to the store today to get shower hardware that's urgent. can't afford a delay or stock-out problem. might just skip out but thanks OP for post.

for those wondering fees, details of click & collect:

"Flat fee of $5 to collect your IKEA items. Approximate lead time: often same day, but you can book up to three days in advance" see: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/customer-service/services/click-c…

    • They used to have free c&c with the app. Not sure if it's still there but worth checking.

      • +1

        Not anymore unfortunately :(

Sucks it doesn't work on Kitchen cabinets!

    • sigh.

    • Dual motors?

      • +1

        yep!

    • expensive! but the height range is impressive, any clues what its weight capacity is I cannot see that on the description. Officeworks ones I think are around 100kg.

      • I've no idea. But I've got triple 27" monitor and heavy bookshelf speakers, mic arm, etc. No probs.

Does it work on the meatballs?

Random inflation stats - i bought the PROFFSIG dishwasher July 2021 for $999. It's now $1429. Crazy. Good dishwasher though, not sure at the new price.

    • +4

ABS/RBA- Inflation is only 3-7% chill

      • +3

        Daddy (RBA) chill

    • +1

is it really random? there was a huge announcement from ikea cant remember when exactly but they gave us a date from which prices and going to rise on everything they stock. i did a 1k shop before the price rise and compared after, a bunch of things i bought rose 100+ $.

      • +1

I believe they announced an approx avg 9% increase across all products - a 43% increase on a single product i'd consider out of the norm.

        • +3

The average across all products may be 9% but when I looked around at the stuff I bought mid last year, they have gone up by at least 30%

        • BROR
          Trolley, white, 85x55 cm

          purcashed 31/1/22 159 AUD
          current price 22/11/22 279 AUD

          • @razorite: They pumped the prices on many products so hard, at the end of the day it looks nice but it’s still only IKEA low-mid tier quality.

    • +10

IKEA prices have gone up a lot. I bought quite a bit of furniture mid last year and here are some examples:

Dining chair $89 increased to $139
Office table $179 increased to $249
Office chair $69 increased to $99
Office chair $249 increased to $299
Glass cabinet $99 increased to $139

      • Quite a few examples from the sofabed post too

Anyone use any of their mattresses? I'm after a girl mattress that doesn't get too hot.

    • +3

I have, can't recommend. bought their most expensive latex mattress, sagged after a few years but returned for free (I'm kinda heavier though) and got back full refund under their 10-yr guarantee. I now have 2 zzz atelier mattresses for a fraction of the price and been using them for 3-4 years now. Can recommend them instead although havent seen their deals on ozb for a while now.

      • +1

Thank you! We had the same issue with latex, sounds like pocket spring is the way to go.

        • latex will get flat after few years. if they accept return or exchange that will be great.

they suggest weight with 65-85kg with firm, 85kg+ extra firm, not sure how accurate of this.

    • I had their firmest mattress, and still woke up with back pain every day. My side of the mattress was clearly holed out compared to my wife's. And I'm not even that heavy (I was 73kg then). We've since moved, and our current mattress is whole other universe. I didn't know we could've simply returned it — it was just 4 years old — and ended up selling it with the bed.

      • which model is the matress? is that extra firm?

        • The IKEA one we had I think was sold as "extra firm". I remember going back to the store and asking for a firmer one, and the salesman said it was firmest they had.

    • +1

      What's a girl mattress?
We do have a couple. Going strong.

  • Anybody know what’s the limit on gift card redemption online??
    Thx

    • Previously my friend redeemed 14 $100 cards and no issue

    • +3

Their FAQs state there’s no limit, and I’ve used about 30 in one transaction before.

Just be aware that when using them online, a temporary hold may get placed on the card as soon as you enter its details. That means if there’s any error checking out, or you do something that removes payment details (such as navigating back to check address as I learned the hard way) you may have errors re-entering card details until a few hours later.

Does anyone know if we can stack with this $10 off code?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/729729

    • +1

      Negative

    • i saw this on right bottom, "You can only use one coupon/voucher code per order. Enter the code without any space between letters. Do you have a gift card? You can exchange these later in the process. "

  • For those wondering, under 'How do I pay online using an IKEA Gift card?'

"There is no limit to the number of cards that can be used as payment"

Taken from IKEA Gift Cards page FAQs: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/customer-service/ikea-gift-cards-…

    • +1

Thanks! Looks like Shopback have upped their cashback on Ikea giftcards to 5%. Though it looks like these giftcards are only usable 48 hours from issue date :(

      • This code lasts for 7 days?

        • Yeah I've purchased the giftcards already and am waiting for them to be activated. I'm just hoping that my local doesnt run out of stock

          • +1

@SuperScope: It's 6% if you buy the $100 IKEA gift card instead of the other denominations.

            • @elgoog: It says 4% for me, can you elaborate please?

              I see it now

In the 4% you can buy $100 denominations, going back a step to only $100 shows 6%.

              Cheers.

              • @teacherer: There's 2 different $100 Ikea gc. Search Ikea it the app and it should show them all.

              • @teacherer: Yea it's not that clear but I see an arrow next to the $100 which I assume means higher cashback.

              • @teacherer: I still don't see it :(

                • +1

@Caped Baldy: Me too, wondering did they reduce back to 4%.

                  • @wls: Thanks for confirming it's just not me.

Looks that way. Two "ikea" are showing up in search but both are 4% even after going back a page

          • @SuperScope: How long did it take for your gift cards to get activated?

            • +1

@uder: It would have been around 24 hours for my purchase

      • It's over already? I thought it ends today? still see hours of count down last night….. :/

*Nevermind, its still there, you just have to search it, there are 2 Ikea gift card, one without cashback….confusing

Stacks with the 15% off sofa bed sale. Thanks OP, cancelled and re placed my order and saved $100.

    • I only see 10% applied, what did you do to make it stack on the 10% family discount?

      • Some sofa beds have already been discounted, so i meant that you put OPs coupon code on those discounted ikea sofa beds and you can get 10% further off.

  • Does anyone know where else to get discounted IKEA gift cards besides Shopback?

    • Cashrewards sells it too but it's only 2%.
Bupa Life Rewards does 5% but they have a 1.6%~ ish surcharge. Think this might depend what card you use as well.

      • Thanks mate!
Also, just found the Ozbargain Gift Card wiki . Lots of info there

  • Time to stock up all the LADDA!

    • I'm waiting for half price (or close to it) again. There's been a discount drought.

    • why do you need so much ladda? for rc car?

  • They pumped the prices 30%+ now offer 10% off LOL

  • I has been waiting for the kitchen cabinet 10%-25% off, but kitchen is excluded, it becomes lighting, outdoor, bedroom and sitting room 10% sale. And the UTÅKER Stackable bed is OOS at this time. https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/utaker-stackable-bed-pine-50360…

    2. Not available in-store: The Promotion is not available in-store.
  • some of the sofa that i saved for purchase gone up by $100 to $300 so not worth a risk of buying gift card and then purchasing anything… IMO.

  • Does anyone know where to enter the code. For the life of me, I cannot find it at the ‘chdckout’

    • You can apply it in the "shopping bag" section before heading to checkout.

      • Thanks I have found it but it’s so buggy! Can’t even enter the new code. Thanks

  • Is there a reason why Ikea gift cards on my ShopBack app are all 4%, but on my wife's they go up to 5-6%?

Does the ShopBack app actually do variable cashback rates depending on user? @gotyourback

    • There are two types, 6% cashback ones are non-instant (usable after 48hrs).
4% is the regular one. Both type should be visible on your app.

      • Got it, thanks! Strange because the 4% ones also say usable after 48 hours. But I do see now that there is a separate listing for the 5-6% ones.

  • Anyone know if you can use multiple IKEA gift cards online at one transaction? Shopback 's gift card only go up to $200

  • +1

problem with the code now, it was working earlier… anyone else having problem now?

    • Me too, it's not working now.
Code can apply but shows me $0 discounted…😡
Web page and app both same issue.
Luckily it had delivery issue for me so I delayed to order a few days ago, but another issue happened discount code is not working now.
I will try it tmr morning.

    • I'm having issues too - code added successfully but discount coming up as $0. From my experience with the IKEA website, it's buggy late at night but rights itself during business hours… not sure why, but it seems to impact stock availability checks as well as ordering.

  • +2

    Code is working now.

  • +2

    Thanks a lot!
Bought sevral items I bagged a few months ago.
    I saved $273.7!🤑🤑🤑

However, it's almost same price when I bagged items without discount a few months ago. Even it stacked with sofa bed 15% off discount…ha…inflation…😤

  • Ikea online is so buggy, can't choose delivery date, always show the next day as only option. The other time it let me choose dates is when the code is not working :/

  • Code NOT WORKING AGAIN!!!!

  • Code worked for me (~12:45 on 25/11). 10% off an item already reduced for members.
    (Thanks OP!)

  • anyone having issues selecting click and collect? item is in stock (actually saw heaps of it just a day ago) and it says online on the product page. but on the click and collect page, it says some products are unavailable.

this is an online code too. cant checkout anything. code is definitely working too

    • You in WA? Click and collect is unavailable at the moment (too many bookings). So effectively Perth people can't get this discount (unless you wanted to pay for delivery)….

      • i am in WA. i discovered something weird today. i managed to put in my order for click and collect. It appears to only work when ikea is open. i also discovered you cant choose when you want to pick up. i made an order and my pick up date is Monday 9am to 7pm.

it appears to be something similar america ikea operates too.

        • Thanks for that. I will try again during opening hours tomorrow and see how I go. Seems crazy that you can't choose what day you pick up though!

  • -1

Yay, 10% off after they jacked up the price of dining chairs I was looking at by 30% (from $99 to $129). Nice one Ikea.

  • when does it expire?

    • 29th.

  • Cannot get this code to work, anyone else having trouble
