For those of you who have access to the Samsung EPP store, or have friends who have access, this is the best deal I've seen on this TV so far.
Edit: 65 inch sold out, 55 still available: https://www.samsung.com/au/multistore/partners_au/pd.QA55S95…

I have one of these and they are extremely thin, I was terrified of breaking it when I moved it, but it seemed solid enough. The base is really stable which is good.
How does this compare to the LG C2?
You can read the Rtings comparison here:
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c2-oled-vs-samsun…
@proudwanderer
my 65" pre-order came pre-bent last week, But only a very sight one. My old LG one developed a much bigger bend after some years by just sitting in the same place. They look very flimsy but seems to be stronger than they look and feel.
Sounds like a feature
avantgarde variable bendable displays soon in 2023
Not on your life my Hindu friend.
Call Samsung (1300 362 603) and talk to a rep and ask for a loyalty voucher and should be able to get 15% off their normal store price, which would bring the 55" to $1954 and the 65" to $2804
Can you ask for loyalty voucher even if you are not a samsung customer? Thanks
Yup, when I called I just said something along the lines of "looking to get a new TV and a friend got a voucher by calling, could I get a voucher too please?"
For the non OLED TV they give out 30% voucher, OLED is only 15%
Got the code, gives error adding it to cart. So sad.
@[Deactivated]: From my experience the code only applies to their 'online' store, not their special stores (e.g. EPP/ edu).
@fortunecookie: I got it to work. The problem wasn't the code. It was simply adding it to the cart. I had to use Incognito mode to add it. After that it wouldn't let me log in (not sure if that was the issue, as I was logged in before trying to add it to my cart). So I just purchased it without logging in, in incognito mode.
@[Deactivated]: The code doesn't work with the EPP/EDU store right?
@proudwanderer: I tried to use it on Westpac store just in case, but it didn't work. Not sure about EPP. Regular store worked for me and brought it down to, "…55" to $1954 and the 65" to $2804" as Fluffyduck77 said. Thanks to Fluffyduck77 for a great TV. The issue I was having was with adding the TV to the cart at all.
@[Deactivated]: Okay great to know. I'm tossing up between this and the LG C2.
Little bit worried about reading of bending coz it is so thin.
Great, thanks
Great, thanks
Worked, thank you very much. Saved me from hunting those TCN 15% off cards to purchase at JB
Thanks mate got a voucher! Now just torn between getting the Samsung 55" OLED or hoping for a QN90B restock.
Thanks Fluffyduck, also was able to pick one up with a 15% discount from the Samsung store with your suggestion. Really appreciate it!
Thanks so much mate.
I got 2 codes. Already used one to buy the 55".
Here's the spare one: EAV-ST2A-TNM1-243S
Thanks @Fluffyduck77. I managed to preorder 65” for $2804!! Also got a 15% code for sound bar!!
I was hoping to get 990b ($1190 post discount) but the 930b at $679 post discount seems like a deal I don’t wanna miss out. Any suggestions anyone??
Same boat
They wouldn't offer a discount code for soundbar for me, although I wasn't buying a TV.
Thats strange. My old code did not work and I just got a new one this morning by calling them.
BTW I preorderd the q930b @ $679.
Thank alot for the tip! I got the TV for 2804 and the sound bar for 679 with this voucher. Compared to the current C2 price, this is a pretty good deal.
I'm switching from a LG C7, hope I wouldn't miss the magic remote :)
Thanks mate - managed to pre-order the 65" for $2804. Very cool!
Thanks heaps @Fluffyduck77, got an 30% voucher, coupled with 4% cashback (shopback), bought QN90B 65" just for 2099$ - 30% off on top of already discounted price of 2999$ (excluding cashback - haven't tracked yet) just got confirmation of order.
30% is really good!! How did you manage to get that? The standard one is 15% on top of the existing discounts.
I totally forgot about shopback.
it was 30% around the black Friday week and stackable on existing discount; wanted to get Q85B but Q90B worked out to be more cheaper, so went for an upgrade on a discounted price
Any EPP emails to hook a brother up?
You'll actually get a cheaper price if you read Fluffyduck's comment above (going through the regular online store).
Just contacted via online chat and got it $2804. Cheers, unbelievable price!
I did have to take a pic of my compliance plate from my old Samsung and email to them.
Awesome! I basically did the same thing. I was able to use a screenshot of the info page on my S21 Ultra!
@j4ck: Cool! Hope I can do the same. Seems out of stock in the regular store though
I sent them an email with compliance plate from my old samsung and I haven't received any voucher from them. How long did it take for them to respond?
@squall3031: Go through their live chat and get them to give you the coupon directly.
@j4ck: I called up instead. All done. However, my concern is with the courier Samsung uses. Apparently so many people have had bad experience with ANC (Australian National Courier) and the reviews are pretty bad. I have already received a message saying they cannot deliver on the specified date I nominated and apparently this is a common issue with customers that gave bad reviews. Some had to change delivery date 3 times and still didn't get the item. Some also said item was marked delivered but customer didn't receive and item was left at another property. Very concerning especially when I spent so much on a TV and the risk getting the item delivered by these guys is so alarming.
Has anyone had any issue with the courier Samsung uses, particularly in Victoria?
Is it out of stock in their regular online store?
Also out of stock on the EPP store now
My pre-order arrived on Friday
Out of stock for the 65" S95B :(
Anyone ever have any luck getting the likes of JB Hi-Fi to match the EPP prices?
They can't match. Too low. Someone did try a few weeks back and JB said no.
Tried with JB. Lowest they would go is $2200.
I got them to do it but decided to go with the Samsung store because it has free shipping.
FYI all; I managed to get JB to price the 65” at $2995. Pulled the trigger as in stock and had some gift vouchers to use.
Too slow to pull the trigger :( OOS on the 65".
Was planning to grab the Q930b too for $749.
Same, I wanted the 65" and waited too long :(
Ah well, may just have to buy the 55".
65 inch back in stock. Got mine :D
Look they're the best picture available, and depending on your use case is superior to the Sony (gaming).
However it's disgustingly thin, Samsung should be ashamed of how thin it is, once it's setup it's fine, but proceed with extreme caution.
I went into JB today and compared the LG and the Samsung. The Samsung has got a “semi glossy” screen, perhaps not as “matte” as the Sony A80J, but nowhere near as “glossy” as the LG CS or C2.
There are advantages where there is a bit less reflection, but colours seem to “pop” more a little more on the LGs due to their glossy screens.
Glossy may matter to some people.
It isn't a true matte, it's anti-reflective but smooth.
It's about the sub-pixel layout that gives it 'potentially' superior colour compared to WRGB Oleds of the LG and others. LG's are still amazing televisions though, and at some of the deals around, I would've potentially gone with one.
But at 2888 this is highway robbery, I wouldn't get the same size LG for a cent more than $2.5k if I could get one of these at this price, I paid $3.6k and thought it was a bargain.
It may be my eyes, but it did seem to me that both the LG C2 and CS seemed to do “blacks“ better than the Samsung when there was a dark scene.
Perhaps the glossy screen made me perceive the blacks to be better.
It was the 65” Samsung S95B that I looked at. Seemed pretty flimsy to my eyes - very very thin as others mentioned.
The LGs were also very thin, but seemed to me that the build quality was a bit better than the Samsung
The OS also seemed a bit slow. A sales rep was advising another customer that they could buy a Google Chomecast and use that instead.
Also, I read on the internet that the VRR implementation with the latest firmware is a bit broken at the moment - so something to think about if intending to use it for gaming.
Slow? Maybe when you first turn on the TV but it's been anything but slow. This is far superior to chromecast in my experience and the fact you just use the same remote as the tv is icing on the cake.
Pretty much all reviews have the Samsung and Sony 95's as the best OLED's. LG's tech is old now (but still good!).
Well I don’t know. It looked slow in the store. As I said there was a “Samsung Rep” in store talking to another customer.
It was the Samsung Rep that suggested to the customer that they can use Chromecast - which has a smoother and nicer interface.
Many reviews on the internet on poor performance of Tizen too.
But if you like it and find it fast then all good for you
“Best” needs to have context - purely from a technology perspective it is the “best” as it combines OLED with Quantum Dots.
But real world usage is a bit different. Also need to consider use case too.
On YouTube - Digital Trends - rates the LG C2 (and by extension the C1 too) as best for gaming.
Also build quality matters. The LG seems to have better build quality than the Samsung.
Sony A95K would be the best with excellent Sony build quality - but it is also twice the price!
Yeah, this is known to be the case with the blacks on the S95B if the environment where you're watching isn't dark.
Bought one thanks! Now join the army worrying about the potential bent and burn in issues
It's available for preorder at that price, so ships on the 9th December. So I pulled the trigger. My main worry is dead pixels and a bent panel. I will be checking for those as soon as I get it set up.
Also be careful when you’re moving it around and make sure you don’t hold the corners as it bends easily apparently.
If I’m spending so much money and having to “baby” it when moving it around - I decided to go for the LG CS 55” - for $200 cheaper too.
Will be moving house next year and don’t want to risk a bent screen from moving/transporting it.
Got any links to videos showing how to handle it, or just how to handle any OLED. Looking to get either the LG CS, Sony A80J, or maybe the S95B (this was at the top of the list, but the issues with build quality has put me right off). Not sure how you pickup OLEDs. I guess I will have to look at videos online to try and find assembly video.
Also, darn, I never even thought about if you are someone that needs to move house. I figure the Samsung would be great if you own your own home and have it setup, but if you had to move, how would you transport it with it being that flimsy? Would you take the stand off and put it back in the box? Why has it been built so flimsy? I wonder if the Sony A95K is anywhere near like the Samsung. For a lot higher price, I'd expect the Sony to be better build quality?
My pre-order came pre-bent last week. A very tiny bend though. So I'm not going to think much of it. My old LG OLED developed a much bigger bend after a few years sitting in the same place.
I was lurking around for a 55 incher to go with my new Xbox X, almost settled for one of the A80J vs LG CS deals
but then decided to look into reducing the budget since I don't know, $1888 still sounds a bit too much for a TV, and OLED is a bit fragile
so I checked EPP for deals and found great price on Frame 2022 QLED, around $1200. but I emailed for loyalty discount and they gave me extra 30% off the Frame, so 55" came down to $1049 delivered on normal non-EPP store, happy with that outright. according to rtings this should still fly well for gaming with VRR and 4k/120hz
the loyalty team told me they could give either 15% off all the other QLED or 30% off the Frame
as a result the Frame was cheaper to purchase in regular Samsung store. loyalty discount doesn't work in EPP
all I am saying is email [email protected] and see what you can get. may be cheaper than going through EPP
I got this discount also, they offered one for the soundbar also but I declined. Fluffyduck77 mentioned just calling and that worked. I called and they just gave it to me right over the phone after a short wait for it to be generated.
I emailed, basically got the voucher within 3-4 hours. next time will try calling
got onto chat this morning, asked about the voucher, agent asked if I owned any samsung products, sent two screenshots of the phones, got the 15% discount - 55" S95B OLED 4K Smart TV (2022) for 1,954.15, delivery included.
Hey guys, thanks for the post I did as above contacted the live help at Samsung, the lady added the code for me and when I went to the cart there’s 2 identically priced but different tv models in there, can I ask opinions on which you would buy out of the two??
55” S95B OLED 4K tv or
55” QN90B QLED smart tv
Cheers
First one
I got the qn90b 65" for $2099. Did I get a good deal ?

Samsung Promo PROMO

Excellent deal for that price.
OLED is always going to be better but the S95B is $800 more.
Just got the tv delivered this morning and only after turning it on did i realiese my old LCD has been dead for a longtime struggling to produce any colour or brightness. I was wrong to call it an upgrade. It turned out to be an essential purchase :P
Can you comment on build quality? - in particular the thickness (or thinness I should say). Any problem with bent panel?
No bend or burnt pixels. spent a good 30 mins testing it. It is crazy thin though and was a bit anxious when I had to lift it after fixing the stand.. I am gonna wall mount it once I get the soundbar and find the optimum location next week. Shouldnt be a problem then. But the colours are just too good and I wouldnt let the thickness stop you buying this TV unless you are gonna move it around frequently.
Any risk of bending on this TV?
