Google Pixel Black Friday Price Match Request with JB Hi-Fi

So I was expecting prices drops for Pixel 7 from Google Store for Black Friday. However, looks like they only give store credits as a deal. It will be 300 AUD credits for Pixel 7 Pro, and 250 AUD credits for Pixel 7.

However, I want to spend about 400 AUD credits I got from Pixel 7 Pro at pre order.

But JB HiFi is offering price drops for Pixels, Pixel 7 at 150 AUD discount, Pixel 7 Pro at 250 AUD discount.

Hence, I was thinking if I could request a price match from Google Store to match JB HiFi. For Pixel 7 Pro to match from 1300 AUD to 1050 AUD, or Pixel 7 to match from 1000 AUD to 850AUD.

Will I get a price match for this considering Google offers store credits?
If I am given price match, will it be in store credits? or refund to credit card?
If I am given price match, will I not get store credits as per black friday deal?

    Bought Pixel 7 for $899 (using discount code) from the Google Store. It's still in it's return period.
    I'm just going to ask the Google Store for a price match over online chat and see how I go. Store credit (boo) or Cash refund would be a bonus.
    If I get rejected I can't be bothered going to JB HiFi to get one for $850 and then doing the Google return process over a matter of $50.

    It's not worth my time to worry.

      And I think there is a restocking fee if you return your phone to Google, isn't it?

    I just did a chat with Google about purchasing a Pixel 7 Pro and she said that I'm eligible for a price match with Officeworks.

        Not sure, but I had store credit to use anyway so if I do get them it will be a bonus

        The refund will be in the same form as the form of payment used. That's what one of the Google chat assistant told me.

    How did you get $400 store credit for purchasing the Pixel 7 Pro??? It was $300 for the 7 pro, and $250 for the 7.

      For Google One customers they are giving 10% store credit. So got about another $130 credits.
      (I actually purchased Google One for about $12 to get 10% store credit)

        Do you mind telling me your process.

        Did you have to pay the full price first?
        Was the refund made to your credit card or as a store credit?

        Also, do you get a tax invoice with your name on it for TRS purposes?

          Pay the full price first, the tax invoice can be downloaded from pay.google.com. You get store credits and the refund to your payment method.

        Have you actually received your refund? I am waiting on mine - apparently it was approved and I have the phone but no refund yet.

    So I submitted my price match refund 9 days ago, they autoreplied with 'will respond in 48 hours'. Haven't heard anything yet. Followed up 3 days ago and I still haven't heard anything. Has anyone gotten a response from Google Regarding a price match refund?
