    Providers listed are KDDI or Docomo, which is the same as Airalo - however, there has recently been some absolutely awful feedback about Airalo performance in Japan, and that it rarely ever goes on Docomo. What happens if a traveller gets to their destination and the service is woeful?

          If you experience slow speed you can contact our live support for troubleshooting.

      If you're already with Optus, they offer $20 for 10GB in 14 days on prepaid roaming. Works in "Mainland China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, UK and USA."

      If you're not already with Optus… it's not hard to get set up with them, but I can understand if someone wouldn't want to sign up with them. :P

      You can insert the sim card in Australia, but the data won’t work of course and the plan will start right away.

    The sim card is already pre-activated no need to register, please ensure the mobile data and roaming is on.

    So the first day will be the first day I use it on the country of destination?

    Hi OP,
    May be a dumb question but what is eSIM? and how does it work?
    I'm thinking to buy the Japan 30 days SIM but before I pull the trigger I would like to know whether I should go for eSIM or just the normal physical SIM. Does eSIM works on all phones?
    For physical SIM, do I just simply insert into the phone and it will activate by itself?

      eSIM is an electronic SIm as long as you have an eSIM capable phones our eSIM will work - please refer to our website for the list of phones.

      For physical SIM all you need to do insert the SIM to your phone ☺️. The convenience with esim is that there is no postage and you get it almost immediately.

          Hello usually there is WiFi at airport or hotel, however you can scan it in Australia but the plan will start right away.
