    Made on Denmark? Not 'in'?

    • +1

Tempur foam is made in Denmark.

Edit: Ops I see what you are getting at, sorry

    • Technically not wrong. it's made on Denmark's territory.

  • +1

    Worth noting normal price 349

  • Anyone know if this Tempur pillow at Catch is a legit Ombracio?

    • +1

I spoke to Tempur in Australia and they have advised that Catch is not an authorised stockist and will not cover you under warranty if anything goes wrong.

Get a physio to 'prescribe' you one of these pillows for neck pain and you might also be able to claim on your extras cover as a 'medically prescribed appliance'.

    • Reckon this works for ctp claims?

      • +1

I'm not sure. I would assume if a Physiotherapist deems it necessary due to the result of an accident then CTP/Workplace insurance would pay 100% of the cost.
I had a workplace injury years ago and they paid for all the rehab equipment the physio said I needed. It included exercise bands, a foam roller and a tens machine.

My extras cover paid 80% of the pillow.

    • Which company are you with?
      Thanks

      • +1

I've claimed twice over the years, once with Defence Health and once with Doctors Health, basic extras.

  • What a rip off….

    • +12

“Each to their own” but these really improved my sleep personally and have recommended them to multiple others who also rave about them! How do you rate these as a rip off if not tried?

      • -2

Are you sure these are better than the cheaper ones on ebay?

        • I have tried stacks of the other eBay versions and Dunlopillo etc and haven’t found them to be anywhere near as good

          • @TonyBaloney: I agree. Tempur all the way.

You could argue NO PILLOW is cheaper and better than any pillow anyone could offer you (that's the OzB way!). But if you've tried out some pillows for you, then it's worth it.

        • +1

I used copies off ebay - thinner material that didnt provide sufficient support and gave me worst headaches, i binned it.

      • Are you using millennium or original?

        • +2

          Using the millennium

          • +2

@TonyBaloney: Thanks. Ordered 1 to give it a go.

          • +1

            @TonyBaloney: Cheers Tony,
I also ordered 1ea for the misso & myself. I have constant neck/shoulder pains.

            • +1

@Bunsen: Fingers crossed and best of luck with it. I found there was a little bit of time to get use to it versus other pillows but once settled it has been incredible. I did go from having multiple pillows to try and get comfortable to just this one only.

Does it help people who suffers insomnia or light sleepers to have a better sleep ?

    • +4

I'm not sure about solving those issues - I suffer from both.
But it does save me from neck pain. I have a millenium pillow.

For insomnia, consider seeing a sleep psychologist. It's done me wonders. Google 'sleep psychologist' or 'healthy sleep'.
They might need a referral from your GP to take you on, or to provide the service cheaper. The referral might need to be under a 'mental health plan', but I can't remember.

For light sleeping, I know of 2 causes: noise and/or light. I guess movement might be a third? (partner getting in or out of bed, earthquakes, partner farting violently, children jumping on you)
For light, as silly as it might feel, try an eye mask.
For sound, as irritable as it might feel, try earplugs. You might need to try a few different brands/compounds.

    "TEMPUR® Material is a high-density visco-elastic foam"
    Sounds synthetic.
I'd rather go with natural latex.

What's the difference between Original and Millenium?

    • +3

Millennium has a different shape. Bit hard to describe but it kinda hugs your neck.

  • 120 is pretty good price and Danish people labour rate is way higher than Assist, never mentioned Chinese nor Cambodians

For when Billionaires have pillow fights..

    • +2

My god, you could break someone's nose hitting them in the face with one of these!
An ex described my millenium as 'the concrete pillow'

      • +1

        That's how hostile takeovers happen

        • Elon won't leave home without one

  • Thanks OP

Was $67.92 in 2020, but those seem to be shorter that the ones I bought from DJ previously. I'll be buying a couple more to replace the ones I have.

How is this better than the KLUBBSPORRE pillow from IKEA?

    • +3

KLUBBSPORRE is a crappy name for a pillow.

      • +1

        CLUBSNORE

      • It's from the spores that are made from not changing the cover frequently enough

    • Ikea pillow is really good. Around $70

  • Looks like the Sealy pillows are on sale too…

  • OmFg Premium pillow

        • Correction: What pillow would Joe Rogan recommend experiencing?

  • The only pillow certified by the US Space foundation

What is the point of this?

    • For when Bezzy and Musky finally get the fugg off our planet they know which pillow to take.

    • +1

I hear they charge more for them if you're already in space. They also throw uncertified pillows out the airlock.

If you want an amazing pillow at a better price here it is. https://www.tlclatexpillows.com.au/products/classic/traditio…

I swear by these after trialing way too many options.

    • I'm thinking of buying these. OOI, what else have you tried?

      • -1

Sorry for slow reply, half a dozen reputable options but im a goldfish so cant give you brands. Honestly these pillows are great. I have no affiliation.

        • Thanks, all good

    • Latex and memory foam provide completely different experiences in a pillow.
When you put your head on a memory foam pillow and take it off, the pillow slowly inflates again. With latex, it bounces right back up.

      • +2

Sounds a bit like the wife’s chest compared to the mistress…

    • Tried the equivalent pillow from these guys and woke up with headaches every day after trialling for 2 weeks. Headache disappeared as soon as I went back to tempur.

Would have loved latex to be as good for my neck and upper back as it's much more natural but it was night and day between the two.

      • I get headaches from the non-natural latex that has that bad stink.
Definitely avoid if it has that smell. Can test in the store but hard when you buy it online.

  • Thanks OP, been waiting for a good Tempur deal.

  • Cheers OP.

    Ordered 2x Millenniums to out..

  • Has anyone got one of these? Do they fit perfect in pillow cases?

I got a Tempur a while back and it's very small in all pillow cases

    • Yes, this one is also small in pillowcases

      • Thanks, was gonna buy if it fit in the case

  • Thx op, hopefully it will help. Wasted so much already on ebay and ikea pillows

  • Thank you OP - I inherited one of these pillows from my parents years ago. It's still going strong but it's great to get a refresh after so many years.
    Thanks very much

  • Best pillow imo !! Been using the millennium for about 8 yrs changed 2 times! N just ordered another 2 !!

  • The only pillow certified by the US Space foundation

  • What is the difference between medium and large? I am 185 cm tall and someone online recommends going with large. But the pillows are the same size (at least the Millenium seems to be the case)

    • The pillow height is the only difference between sizes. I have broad shoulders and need the large size.

      • Thank you. I think I also have broad shoulders. Need to ask my wife as that could be just my vanity. :)

  • How does this compare to the Ikea Rosenskaerm? Comparable or different league?

  • +1

It seems like the Millennium pillow is no longer for the special price?!?

    • OOS I think.

  • Anyone know how this compares to the Ecosa? Tempted to just try the Ecosa since it has the return policy anyway

  • Thanks OP.

Grabbed Millenniums at HN with price match.

  • You can grab the Millenniums in store at this price, just grabbed 2 in Karrinyup

  • Only medium available now, no Millennium! I bought two I guess they are okay?

  • +1

back in stock just ordered one of each.

  • Thanks OP, have been needing to pick up a new pillow for a while. Picked up a Millennium - haven't done any research apart from reading this thread as I'm quiet time poor at the moment, but OZB hasn't led me astray before! Thought it was worth a shot in the dark given the good reviews here

  • Just got this, holy moly it’s so hard. Can’t get used to it, can’t really recommend it at all

  • +1

Feel free to try it in store, I recommend you guys try it before you buy, as no return is allowed for pillow products
