GMG are known to steal money and games from people's Steam accounts. You have been warned!

Oh! How do they do that? Don't they just supply you an activation key? That sounds quite safe and secure to me.

I used to use them and found them reliable until their behaviour a few months ago.

GMG sold Age of Empires IV. Lots of people bought it and activated it on Steam. GMG later decided that they sold it too cheaply. They provided Steam a list of all the keys they sold and asked them to revoke them. To my surprise, Steam obliged. GMG did refund everyone their purchase price but then asked customers to rebuy it at a higher price if they'd like. Everyone lost their game progress.

If you buy a key and have seen it, you have no option for a refund but GMG overreached their boundaries. It would be like you buying milk and bread from Coles then they enter your house and take it back.

Great price. Had a look around and bought from Fanatical instead to save another 6 cents.

For those who grabbed Internet Cafe Simulator for free from the recent deal you should have received a 5% off coupon in your email.

You can use that to bring Doom Eternal down to $11.48

After what they did to Mick Gordon?

    Nah, pass.

    • Elaborate?

        https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/yqk10g/mick_gordon_m…

It's all over the gaming world. Mick is likely the single most talented musician to work on game music, and yet specifically for Eternal, the director over there at id treated him like garbage and illegally re-used all of the music they intentionally liked but rejected so they didn't have to pay him for it. They announced an OST soundtrack with the deluxe version of the game using his name as a selling point with him having no idea that product was going to be announced … also they had an incompetent sound engineer cobble together all of the stolen music + the legit music from the actual game, and then push it out the door for the OST - rather than accept his numerous offers to work on it.

It's an insane dog act, not to mention highly illegal. Everyone gave shit to Mick for a shitty OST (game music was good though) and he couldn't say much other than 'i didn't work on X part of that'.

It's a shame that such a great game is marred with this controversy.
