quite an epic fail for a torch that requires 3 x AAA and still output only 30lumens…
i'm using a 1xAA torch that output 100+lumens…
I suspect your 1xAA torch will last significantly less time than this 3xAAA torch.
It's not all about the brightness :) Plus your 1xAA will likely be a Cree (which is much newer tech)
disagree mate, when you buy a torch its all about the brightness. (Who wants a dark torch?) ;)
yes it's a cree, and it has a low lumen mode as well, which would last much longer than what this torch will - remember, I can bring 2 x AA as spare too.
3xAAA makes it too much effort to carry around, wastes too much money on buying replacement energy source as well. With clustered led like this, you can guarantee that there's almost no throw. Might as well stick with a trusty Maglite, at least that doubles up as a 'persuasion tool'.
I have this and use this as a bike light with a holder. It is brilliant. You can also buy the rechargeable batteries from Tmart, 4 of them at 2,97$.
where did you get the bike light holder for it?
i had one for flashlights, don't remember from where..Probably meritline or ebay
