Could the monitor faux pas be forgiven since the 60" TV deal is included?
Seems like a dirt cheap price for such a large TV with WebOS.
Shame on LG for even making it.
I bought one of these in may 2019.
Im curious to know why. The specs is better than my 24" …
Because it will have bad PPI, you'll be able to see the huge pixels when sitting at normal desk sitting distance
brave man posting 1080p 34" monitors
You should see some of the overpriced stuff Reps posts on here.
Need an equivalent or better in price. Doing GIS work looking for screen real estate. Lots of neg on these - are they any good for 350$?
But a 4k tv. For GIS you won't need better than 60hz or great colour reproduction. I use a 4k tv for development.
When your right - your right.
Didn't even think of that
It would be awful for 2560x1080 on a 34" display. That's 82 pixels per inch, which would not be satisfying to use IMO.
Definitely not ideal but I wouldn't say it's awful. Plenty of people use 27" 1080p monitors so it depends on viewing distance. That being said, $349 still seems too high for how much you lose over a $500 UWQHD 144hz monitor.
It's the same physical height as a 27inch 16:9 1080p monitor but 20cm wider.
But as you said, the uwqhd is a much better deal.
Which monitor specifically would you recommend?
Found this one with quick google search:

Would personally go with the HP X34 over the AOC. IPS colour will look much nicer than VA and it's the better deal being on sale.

My working monitor is 87 dpi, 49" Samsung. Not sure the hype, the thing is bloody terrible.
I run 28" 4K monitors at home, they cost a hell of a lot less and damn they are much nicer.
What brand is the 60" tv? Couldn't make out from the deal pic.
Aldi's new exclusive brand….Black Wednesday
You spelt your username wrong.
Bauhn
$99 Soundbar looks tempting. Not sure about either TV's though
The smart cameras required a subscription ?
Black Wednesday, more like Bloody Wednesday. Get health insurance or body armour when you line up.
But can the chair do this
Well the monitor isn't intended for gaming. Instead it should be a decent work monitor. Yes the resolution isn't great (anything over 27" at FHD isn't nice due to pixel pitch) but for students or just office work, i reckon this type of monitor would be fine. There are better prices out there though
Wrong way round imo. Low resolution is absolute shite for work. 24" (29" for ultrawide) is the absolute max for 1080. 27" should be 1440+.
I would absolutely hate text at this resolution, let alone imagery.
in true Aldi specials style they will only have like 1 per store if youre lucky or not even have it in your state… at least thats how it feels in WA
The magnetic Qi charging stand looks pretty nice to be honest. I'd be tempted to convert it into a phone mount in the car if it was strong enough.
if you buy this monitor you should be stuck with it forever.
just dont do it
For anyone else wondering, the garment steamer appears to be "DT3030" which retails ~$85.
Can anyone comment if Aldi TVs are any good?
Should I buy the 60" 4K TV or a second hand 3 year old Hisense 65N7 for $500?
any review on the gaming desk? im looking for 1 for WFH
The height of the table seems odd, maybe a printing error!?
Dimensions: 1237mm(W) x 600mm(H) x 750mm(D)
i thought its standing desk but i was wrong, so i didnt buy it. im looking for standing desk for wfh tbh
anyone know when this sale ends?
Just spotted this monitor in the clearance section today at my local Aldi, Traralgon VIC for $177.99
The 34” LG monitor is on special at $296 at Aldi Canberra City.
Here at OzBargain, we don’t condone the purchase of 1080p 34 inch ultrawides…
