I like the ones with the canopy too… especially when carting around in warmer weather

Already here
That is awesome!
This is a good one. Folds up very well. Good weight capacity and big wheels
Is this a deal?
Pretty sure it was RRP $100 earlier this year and we got ours for $50 on sale.Seems a bit more than inflation has been added.
Seasonally un-discounted could be the term for it.
Any chance someone who has this (the blue one) can measure how wide the tyres are? (For the beach)
I impulse bought the Mac Sports XL one from CostCo (https://www.costco.com.au/Sports-Fitness-Leisure/Camping-Hik…), but I like that this one has removable wheels - seems probably easier to pack in the boot.
Is the neg for asking about the wheels? Or for buying/linking the CostCo one? Or for liking the fact that this has removable wheels?
Just trying to understand what would compel someone to neg my (seemingly) harmless comment…honestly, I curious! lol
Legit questions, have some upvotes
How does one justify spending 42% more (now, and 84% before!) on BCF's than on Kmart's??
The short version is build quality, the kmart version is the cheaper "knock-off" so to speak. While they look the same, the joints, layout etc are weaker & lesser quality. Not to say the kmart one is poor, it is just less "heavy duty" if you could even say that about these carts. For reference, the BCF one lists max weight as 110kg and the kmart one as 50kg.
The key difference for people wanting them for the beach is the wheels, the BCF one goes on sand, the kmart one's wheels dig in to soft sand. In saying that, I couldn't justify $170 just for those differences but I guess some people could. Maybe at this sale price if you're lookning for something beachgoing that can carry small kids (in which case the kmart one isn't an option so not comprable) you'd be comparing this kmart one where they have added some extenders on the sides of the wheels and more free options than the BCF one. (still only 50kg max weight but I think the pros outweigh the cons)
We've had the Kmart one for 2 years, and use it weekly both at farmer's markets, picnics and the beach. Does the job and is holding up well. Paid $50 for it, and can't imagine how one would justify paying any more than that. It's a pity OzBargain has become OzSplurge.
Did I just get negged for answering the question? I mean I even agreed I couldn't justify the $170 pricetag myself and posted a link to the kmart one with the larger wheels and additional extras that I think is a better option than the BCF one.
@mark-emark: Not from me. There, voted you up to neg the neg 😄
@wisdomtooth: Have a couple back hah. Yeah I thought it may have been someone who just didn't like it. I made sure not to write "did you just neg me"
Make sure to check for the dreaded wheel wobble. There’s nothing that secures and locks the front wheels in their folded out position and some carts have wheels that wobble left and right and will drive you mad. Took mine back and the guy knew straight away what the problem was before I mentioned anything.
I don't notice that being a problem with Kmart cheapo one (it does drive me mad when supermarket trolleys do that).
It’s specifically this BCF one
Even less of a reason to outspend Kmart.

So many look similar but the wheels and folded size can vary massively.
