Best value, but for what purpose exactly? for PS5 console or just a Steam games drive?

High end ones like Samsung 990 / WD Black are around $300 for 2TB / $150 for 1TB. These are more expensive per gigabyte since they're built with better memory controllers and include DRAM, which is what you'll want if you're after performance.
while the more pedestrian SSD's that are DRAM-less built with either TLC or QLC are $180~200 for 2TB and $100 for 1TB. (This is just a rough price guide)
DRAM-less drives are more suitable if you're just storing games and media on them and you won't be paying for something you don't need.
