New trailer for the sequel out next month, so you can get the first game on sale now.
Made by Australian devs, similar to the Mario Golf games on GBC and GBA.

The sequel looks good as - I know for a tenner it's probably shoot and ask questions later, but if I genuinely think I'll get Sports Story, do you think it's worth getting Gold Story too.
Use to love Mario Tennis on GBC.
I would recommend it. I'm not sure it's ever been cheaper and you'd be supporting an Australian game developer.
The price seems to match the previous low: https://www.dekudeals.com/items/golf-story
you'd be supporting an Australian game developer
Yeah fair enough. Happy to support a good game based on that.
Plus can tide me over and maybe I can get the sequel as a Xmas present. Lol.
@tomsco: this is a great game, good buy.
waiting for the sequel to come out.
Fun game, Good humor and decent soundtrack. Well worth it at this price.
Like others have said, incredible game and probably one of my favourite indie games of all time. Not to mention it's made by an Aussie game dev company in QLD.
Really looking forward to their next game Sports Story in December.
Great game, more than just a golf game. also a lite RPG with some genuine humour. well worth playing before the upcoming Sports Story
It's more like an RPG with some lite golfing.
I know it can't be true because that would not be commercially viable (and I can see others enjoyed it in the comments!), but as an Australian who grew up obsessively playing Mario Golf on the OG Game Boy, this felt like it was developed specifically for me! I had such an amazing time revisiting the skills and enjoyment of this type of game 20 years later, this time around combined with a ton of great Aussie humour.
I can't speak to what it would be like for someone who'd never played a similar golf game before (I can picture getting frustrated on some of the late game challenges), but for $10 I'd suggest giving it a go, and you might find a whole new genre that tickles you!
I got frustrated. Having to redo sections is not fun. But at least it's some actual challenge for a very casual golf game.
Excellent little game! Very easy to pick up and understand for anyone, even those with no interest or experience with other golf games. Love the ability to just pick up and play for a few mins here and there, would heartily recommend it to anyone.
Far and away one of the best games I've played on Switch. Made by Aussie devs, this is a gem and an absolute steal at 10 bucks. Well worth it.
Never got to finish it because the huge difficulty spike at the end
Yeah it did spike a lot at the end! Look up the ending video if you haven't already, made me smile
Attesting to how great this game is just like most commenters on this thread so far. Definitely worth picking up.
I'll have to give this another run through before the sequel comes out.
I picked up this game on release for full price, worth every cent then, even better deal now.
I was kinda put off by 'golf' but the mechanics are very basic and easy to get the hang of. Honestly the game is worth playing for the dialogue alone.
Didnt know about the sequel but loved playing through this one.
Great sport RPG! Played it when it was first released and enjoyed the art style, the use of hd rumble and golf rpg element. Been waiting for the sequel since!
Hmm, played it on Switch Lite and didn't get the rumble, did I miss much?
Honestly no. The hd rumble complemented the game well. This is from the menu, certain parts of the text for extra emphasis, dropping the ball, hitting, ball bounce.
However, it just adds to the overall experience and has that extra bit of playfulness to the game
The sound it makes was a neat use of it
One day the Ace Attorney games will go on sale again.
What, you mean like how they are right now and have been for at least the past week?
Cheers! got it!
Hopefully the latest patches have fixed the bugs!
Had one at Tidy Park Clubhouse which stopped me completing the game as.
Think it was the Murder Mystery scene where you need to speak with Jerome, for some reason wandering around the clubhouse garden that was blocked in by golf buggies, on the left side i was able to walk through the buggy but there ain't no way in hell of getting back in! Queue needing to restart game from the beginning !
Update: back on sale for the same price. Perfect stocking filler for Christmas.
Sequel out now as well
This is such a fun game! The humour is spot on. I'm excited about the sequel as well.
