I have just bought 1TB Seagate FreeAgent Desktop USB - $169 in OfficeWorks store in Sydney CBD. I told that from info on whirpool forum, North Sydney OfficeWorks store sells it for $169 and they confirmed the same price!

Do you know how much an internal 1tb drive costs?
Cheapest on SI is $158.
This is cheap. Maybe not the cheapest, but still cheap.
well it's Maxtor….
maxtor. its a discount for the pain and suffering it causes when you lose your data.
have you tried getting it from dick smith? it's out of stock everywhere
+1
I would pay extra for Seagate than get a cheaper Maxtor. Also the $139 from DS would be good bargain if available everywhere instead only in a handful of stores.
I got this drive in Brisbane for $160 at office works. Took the $169 price from Harris tech to them to match and they took another 5% off. This drive has 5years warranty so skip the maxtor you get what you pay for.
Good idea hotzone, get Officeworks to price match Harris Technology and get extra 5% off and earn flybuys points and pay with American Express !!!!
Wow.
Stuff Dick Smith, probably only had 1 per store for sale anyway. I could not find a local store with any stock in metro Melbourne.
I've checked their online catalogue. Couldn't find any 1TB Seagate FreeAgent Desktop Ext HDD.
I think you can still get a 169 dollar 1TB FreeAgent from Harris Technology.
Not listed on website anymore as of Sunday afternoon, Harris Technology, ht.com.au.
I saw this advertised in the Saturday Herald-Sun newspaper from Officeworks for $169.
I just bought one from officeworks cbd for $169 as well.
thanks
no offence, but how is this cheap? that maxtor 1tb driver for $139 at dick smith was cheap :P
