Got an iPhone in ‘07 right after they bumped base storage to 8GB and dropped the price.
Spent a good part of my holiday in Madrid jailbreaking in internet cafes and futzing around with this astonishingly capable handheld computer in my dorm.
That was fun. Still saw plenty of Spain but couldn’t leave that phone alone for long.

Erm.. if something’s a pain to use (for whatever reason) then it’s not a lot of fun to use.
OLED screen’s pretty well a necessary component these days for me, I don’t care that I have to keep using an Xs to get it.
Some people prefer LCD over OLED. Hurts in 10 minutes due to flickering. iPhone PWM is low frequency, very bad for eyes. Currently only iPhone 11 and 8plus are LCD phones on iOS.

by that logic if something like iPhone 7 is @ 50% therefore perfectly average phone? It is not a linear scale mate :)
There’s an overall value proposition. This particular phone doesn’t push into that zone at this price for me.
Isn’t this the normal price? It’s very similar at office works from memory
Bought the 11 128gb in Nov 2020 for $1079. After 2 years it has only depreciated $330?
