Got a few recently. Great light.
Adjustable light brightness & colour temp.

Had to add delivery as no local stock.
Was a suggested purchase when Perks started. Much less stock available now.

Have as reading light clipped on bed head.

In WA, only Joondalup, Mandurah and Bun bury have stock.

    • Down to just Mandurah now!

also got these last time, work great for bedside reading lamp or night light.

  • Got one last time, still sitting in storage waiting for it to be used

Onlyfans account not created yet? šŸ™ƒ

      • +6

nah, don't want the pressure of showing feet pics

  • +1

Agree, got this last time and am using it as a desk lamp. Definitely like the brightness and colour temperature controls.

The phone holder arm can also fairly easily be removed if you undo the nut that attaches it to the clamp.

    • +1

Yes, removed phone holder arm to use as light.

    • +5

Instructions unclear. There goes no nut november ruined.

NSW stores seem to be Warrawong, Erina, Tuggerah & Bathurst with stock

    • +2

Time for a road trip me thinks.

  • I guess you can also use it as a ring light for those tiktok/twitch/instagram/youtube/facebook influencers

Forgetting the most important one i see. Onlyfans.

  • Is it just me or would this not be big enough to function as an actual ring light? As a desk lamp or reading light sure but surely it wouldn't work if you want diffuse light from multiple angles to make yourself look pretty in zoom meetings or other 'professional' activities?

    • +1

      It's $10…

      • Original retail was around $80

    • Obviously the bigger the ring the better, but a 10cm wide light source is better than a 1cm wide one.

  • +1

I ring light that didnā€™t go around the camera is pointless

    • It is customisable so you can move the light in front of the camera lens so it goes around camera

  • Got it from last time, they still have stock

    unavailable within 200km :|

    • Hasn't been local stock for months in BNE.

Ordered for delivery ($5.95). Delivered on 3/11 to BNE. Nearest store with stock then was Toowoomba or Gold Coast.

Here's another hack, if your working on small hobby objects. Use phone holder and your phone camera as a magnifying glass. And your have a perfect light source.
I pick up (home delivered) the two light version during pandemic times from Big W. Also going for $10 excluding delivery

    • +2

Get your kids starting a youtube or tiktok channel. Maybe they can make some money.

  • already have a similar one from kmart that i use as an interior car light

    • What do you attach it to?

      • +1

        usb
or if you mean how i keep it steady, it doesn't have a clamp like this one just a clunky tripod
or just rest it flat, with the light being quite bright it works well

      • +1

Kmart has a range of ring lights. Bought for $5 on clearance Larger ring, but quality is not as good. Switch isn't great. Good amount of light.

Mounts on included separate tripod, but attached the plastic ring under a flat surface with double sided tape.
Trying one hanging down back of TV to help with viewing - after reading article

Have both - they require switch to be pressed to operate. One in this Deal is far better light & to use.

even 100% free I wouldn't by this lol.

    • Portable clip-on lamp. Not bad.

    • Been using 4 of these as lighting around house for months - they're great.
Also slightly reduces electricity costs, by lighting where needed, rather than using room lights.

      • It is 12W (5V). My ceiling bulb is 9W

        • Tested… about 2W from memory. Depends on brightness & colour. Kmart ring light was about 1.3W.

          • @INFIDEL: 2W on max? That's a lot lower than the box specs! Nice

            • +1

              @Fobsessive: "12W" on box…
Specs are stated for power supply required - which would be overspecified.
Also makes people think it is brighter than a 2W light! It's bright!

Tested 4 months ago, so a bit vague about results. Retesting.

Lived off grid on 12V battery solar set up, so am used to checking for low consumption.

Mainly have solar powered general lighting in house. These give spot lighting for reading & food prep. And subdued light in bedroom at less than 50%.

            • +1

@Fobsessive: Tested power consumption: Less than 2W on max!

              350mA @5V = 1.75W on max brightness - white
              290 & 300mA 1.5W max on other colours.
3mA @5V plugged in but not on.

So your 9w bulb looks like a glutton @5-6 times the consumptionšŸ˜‰

              • @INFIDEL: Thanks for the stats! It's cool you can live off the grid especially with rising electricity prices

                • +1

@Fobsessive: Lived off grid. Using more power meant adding panels… So learnt to do more with less.

Now in all electric house in suburbia (no solar)… Doesn't suit me.
Past 3 months of electricity bills were $15/m after Govt rebates. Harder to lower consumption past that level.

Then Qld Govt gave out $175 cost of living rebate on top of that! Nearly a year of free electricity for me at that rate!

                  • @INFIDEL: Do you have a small fridge?

                    • +2

                      @Fobsessive: Bloody big one - 535L 333KWh/yr Was only $314 delivered (got $100 discount), so couldn't refuse.
                      That's where about 1/3 of my consumption goes. It's a luxury…

I compromise with no hot water heated around the clock - just heat small amount (in $7 Kmart kettles) when needed. So showers aren't heated. Lucky I love long hot baths, Japanese style.

My shack had a tiny caravan gas fridge. And a bath under the mango tree with a view over the ocean… heated by a small fire. Miss that idyllic life.

Living in the warmth, there is no winter heating. Although fans & limited aircon in summer bump up the power bills.

Not to everyone's tastes, but cheap.
                      Won't be staying long…
                      Rather be Travelling!
