I don't know much about these systems, but I received an email from Pioneer advertising the above refurbished blu-ray home theatre systems at 50% off the advertised price from their online store using the code Pioneer.

wish the rear speakers were wireless. hate too many wires in the living room.
Just take the time to plan & route the cable properly, then you'll never know they are there. You can use flat cable under carpet or behind skirting boards if necessary. I was of the same mind as you until I actually tested a few wireless surround options.
The sound of wired speakers will be far superior to wireless in every way. TBH, I haven't seen a set of wireless surrounds that I'd be happy with; they all have some sort of issue (hissing, dropouts, interference, poor sound etc) that would drive me nuts!
not really feasible if you're in a rental.

When i rented years ago I used to just have a rug in the lounge and run my wires under that to get to the rear of the room.

The HTZ808BD doesn't have any hdmi inputs, where as the HTZ818BD has two.
