Sorry :)
But why is this deal a bargain? No mention of special price. Just seems an ad!
Jaycar for example have stocked a similar one for some time.
FlucardĀ® PRO Wireless SD Card - 8GB Class 6 for $99

Video there to show use.
trippy, Its a model X2, but i thought it came with 2
Thanks for the post Bruce - Jaycar is $99 normal price, plus I know the guys well at my local store, so they'll probably let me refund the card after a few days if it doesn't do what I need.
I bought a 2Gb version a couple of years ago for about $40. Worth it, as it automagically copies every shot to my hard drive and flickr, but I would hesitate to plunk downm $100. The software to set up where things are copied etc is a little obtuse, and they try and sell 'services' like auto GPS tagging and back-up space.
Good idea, fair execution, but I'd try and find a better price.
Dirt cheap cameras have it for 89.90 + 9.90 shipping… though you can pick up free in the sydney cbd if you wish…
Just on flucard vs eye-fi though, from what i've seen the flu-card is a little less intuitive but will work with almost anything, uses standard ftp, etc etc where the eye-fi uses more proprietary stuff.. for linux users like myself there are hacked-together eye-fi bits of software but ymmv on that one.
Oh, the flu-card also runs an embedded linux for those that are curious, not sure what the eye-fi uses tho
The Pro version for $89.90?
My bad, not the pro version.
I wonder if these cards would work with my in-car dashboard camera. It's a pain to remember to take the card out every few days, copy all the video to my computer, then replace it. If I had one of these Eye-Fi cards, presumably the card would send all new video files to my file server whenever I parked in the garage and it picked up my WiFi network. Sounds pretty sweet to me, then I can have months worth of video stored up on the network just in case I receive a dodgy fine in the mail two months later, and need to contest it in court.
Will we be seeing this promotion again soon?
This product seems so kool! but is it worth the cost? Gut is saying that the price will drop like all memory storage devises (SD, HDD, SSD..) Anyone who has it like it?
