I wonder if this would power a spray gun?

    • +1

Nope. At the very most it would push enough for a few seconds, then the pressure from that little tank would die off and be too low, then it would come back up and you'd have enough for a few seconds, rinse and repeat.

It would be a pita to use.

Needs a bigger receiver for a larger buffer to smooth out pressure drops and a slightly more powerful motor to maintain pressure better when you're drawing from it constantly.

      • Perfect, thanks very much!

      • I'd actually recommend using a pressure pot when hooked up to a tank this small. That way the compressor can run all it wants and shouldn't affect the pot pressure too much. More cleaning though :-)

      • NO! This compressor is perfect for spray gun and perfect for car restoration. The tank size is so perfect for mini spray gun on 1:144 Diecast model car restoration.

  • "200 litres per minute (LPM) free air delivery suitable for most air tools including spray guns" …. maybe!

      Agree, I doubt this claim.

    • Nowhere near enough to run a rattle gun or ratchets. Nail gun yes, framing or finishing guns, simple tools and a small blower yes. But not the others. Handy for smaller jobs

  • Who in their right mind is paying $650 for these? $400 should be rrp.

That's why it's good to wait until this discount, which seems to occur every four to six months. That said even at RRP they are cheaper than most other silent compressors with the same capacity.
