One of the cheapest prices I have seen for this card with shipping included, also get eBay money back protections if anything goes wrong in the shipping process
RRP for this card is $3299

Come on, I know you have been told before bigger is always better. Same goes for having a gpu thats the size of a tree
Did they release the AU price for the new AMD cards?
mate had this card, the pins gave his psu connectors some hot joints… pretty crap card so far, way too many fire issues…
Personally I have this horse card, but I got a 12VHPWR and never had an issue, but would be annoyed spending this much and it burning
I have this one. Runs perfectly with a ATX 3.0 PSU.
way too many fire issues, under 50 under 100000
HODLing for fire sale prices
gold!
buy or hold for tuf?
hold for RTX 5090
2024 here we go then.
MAGA?
@Nathw: EVGA/AMD 2024
For the low price of 5090 bucks since it'll be 60% faster, such great value!
Heymix 4090 RTX
https://www.hardwaretimes.com/nvidia-rtx-4090-power-connecto…
the only card that is profitable so buy!
Equates to US $1933 when reference card is US $1699
No idea how this can be considered a "Bargain" as available doesn't equal bargain.
Its Australian RRP is $3299 so yes its a bargain
Thank you AMD
Agreed.
With that attitude you could negative vote most products on ozbargain that are made overseas.
Do It!
Australia is not the us…
You need to add GST to the Australian cost. So $1700USD —> A$2635+10% = $2900AUD.
HODL for 50 series
Really? People are just desparate to buy a $3K card with possible melting power pin?
Just put this card inside a nzxt mini Itx case and you Will be safe.
GPU? $3k
House fire? Priceless
The pure sea freight cost of shipping a 40 foot container of these flamey boys from China to AU, is now the equivalent of just one. Just the good old aussie tax
Is that more or less expensive than shipping to the US? I was under the assumption that shipping here was quicker and cheaper, which would mean the markup we are getting would be straight scalping from the GPU manufacturers.
Not sure how far off CN > USA rates are, but they are plummeting too.
However EUR <> CN/AU rates are still super high, but again, that's really the cost of ~4 of these guys, when you could fit hundreds of the product into a 40'.
Overall, for products this expensive for such a small item, FRT rates would have little impact, its pure price gouging.
Ugh, why does everyone treat aussies like poo??
It is ridiculous that $3000 video cards has now been normalised.
Agreed, who in their right mind is going to spend this much on a gpu? Outrageous!
Price is just stupid. So $5K next time?
Those leather jackets aren't free.
LOL
Seems like there's cheaper ways to set my case on fire tbh
Id rather have Jensens Leather Jacket at this price
looks like there will be clones of that too, soon
https://www.tomshardware.com/news/moore-threads-unveils-chun…
$3K fire hazard.
Its not an issue, just have house and contents insurance! ;)
plus life and funeral insurance. nVidia putting the FUN into funerals again
we will see next gen $4k-$5k as bargain, we probably need to choose new car vs GPU in few more gen.
absolutely fire deal!
incendiary comment
Yes, this series has had lots of issues with the power connector so I wouldn't go near it right now. I really don't see the price being an issue though. This card is not for everyone. Who is telling you to buy the latest card when there are so many other cards available?
Graphics cards are not like phones where previous generations are no longer supported. Sure your current graphics card may not be able to play the newest AAA games in 4K/8K in Ultra detail but do you need to? You can probably get away with a card a few generations old if you dial everything back even just a little bit.
“Graphics cards are not like phones where previous generations are no longer supported.“
Uh gpu’s are dropped from support all the time
You can still use older graphics cards. They may not have the latest fixes and stuff for the latest games but you can still use them. Some older phones don't let you run stuff at all.
My 1080 from 2016 is still well supported. Even those on the 900 series from 2014 can run the latest games on a 1080p monitor.
I’m talking like 700 series, yes it’s definitely not like phones but it’s not like a 9400gt is majorly useful with modern software
@Pugkin: The 9400GT was never useful….
Thats like buying a $100 android phone and complaining its not any good 5 years later… it was bad on day 1.
@samfisher5986: It was just an example
@Pugkin: Maybe my wording wasn't exactly right but I think you get where I was coming from. I was speaking of cards like the 1080 or other cards that got released around that time. You can probably still use those in a lot of cases like samfisher was stating.
At this rate no cards will ever be for the average consumer. Low end already died with last gen (3050 and 6500xt lol), mid range is heading there for this gen too. Along with inflation and electricity costs going up, everyone's just going to move to consoles instead minus the production crowd.
If you're in the market for a 4090, the price is reasonable compared to elsewhere but HODL if you can. I'm personally holding out for the Noctua 4090 by Asus.
I suspect there will be more bargains to clear the released stock while a solution to the overheating power adaptor issue is resolved and changes are rolled out next year.
I just pulled the trigger on this Galax GeForce RTX 4090 SG 24G for AU $2,904.00 plus shipping. Used a couple of Shopback ebay gift cards too.
Only 4 left so can't make a post about it here.
Is that a good card? Going by the non-discounted price of $4200ish it must be the best of the best.
Lol @ the RRP
Nice, I've grabbed one too, pretty good deal
Have you received yours yet? hopefully Umart are quick with the delivery!
I have not. Tracking does say it's coming today though
Not bad, enjoy
Does it come with a free fire extinguisher?
This card will burn down your house, please check it first with your insurance company before making the purchase.
🔥 🔥 🔥
yeah maybe if you were 100% going to buy a 4090 anyway. but I would still spend 10%+ extra not to buy a gigashit product
Povertybrah's coping hard rn with the fire jokes.
