  • as the description says, they add courses regularly and more to come.

Are those free to play though?

I can say the game is definitely fun to play with friends, and the 8 base maps are very nice experiences to play in, but any add-ons are paid DLC, and at $4.5 for each additional map that's almost a third of the discounted cost of the base game; heck if you count all the available add-on maps, they cost more than the base game itself at full price.

Sure, it's up to the buyer, maybe if you really enjoy the maps you can justify it, but $2-3 ea would be a much more reasonable price imo.

      • +2

If you play multiplayer, only 1 person needs to buy the dlc.

      • Plenty of the courses are free. The add ons are about $1 more than you suggested. You're upset over a $1?

        • +1

Already addressed the free courses in my comment. Besides, if you're enjoying it enough to buy one extra map, you really may as well get all of them, at which point no, it's not $1, it's a difference of $9-15.

Fantastic game, and one I recommend to all VR newcomers.

Also a great social game for catching up with friends in VR!

    • +1 to this. It's a great game to play while catching up with peeps and having a good conversation.

  • +2

Just get it, amazing social game for the price, and they release new courses as DLC for like $5 a pop and they're all well worth it. So much effort goes into each course.

  • Fun game

  • Good game! Great with Friends

  • I've heard that it doesn't have a 'pass and play' mode so good for online multi player but not as good for a party game?

    • +1

Why on earth would you pass around a vr headset each time you make a shot

  • if you haven't got it yet, you should :)

    • Even if you dont like playing golf, you should :)

my best mate works on this game and puts his absolute heart into the level design, some of the levels in particular were designed by an absolute fanboy ^_^

    • You can tell love goes into the levels, especially the DLC.

    Thanks daddy pig

  • Great game and one I’m always happy to support via DLC purchase.

  • Warplanes WW1 is 30% off at $18.99. I will try it out. I like the games with a comfort level of intense.

    • Tried and lmost threw up after 5 mins playing.. you are so lucky…

  • Pretty fun game, there’s a dead person in sweetopia (DLC map)

  • +3

I'm getting worried with all these "good with friends" comments, hopefully it will be fun for people with no friends!

    • +1

It's more like it's a game that naturally fits the "do while doing something else" usecase. I could easily see this being great to play podcasts to solo :)

    • +1

      It's still fun by yourself

  • +1

    This game is great.
If you want to play local with friends who don’t have headsets, then the workaround I found is to play practice mode then keep our own scorecard.

    • This + chromecast would work great! Thanks for the idea :)

  • My favourite game on the Quest 2. So chill and I love searching for the hidden golf balls on each course.

    • On your own or with others? Everyone says it's a must-have, but I'm not just not sure I'll enjoy it?

      • +1

I’ve played it both solo and with a friend from work. Both were great experiences.

      • +1

I've been playing it by myself for the past few days and it is enjoyable. It's actually quite relaxing playing especially with the peaceful music in the background.

  • There are other decent games on special for 30+% off like Superhot VR, Red Matter, I expect You To Die, but no doubt you have spotted them all. Current Specials

Great game. Other avenues to get it too if you don't like giving Meta money

  • Fantastic game, lots of fun. Works well with people in the same room too.

Not a huge fan of VR and seldom get around to playing it particularly when I have a huge backlog to play on regular consoles but figured I needed a reason to dust off the Quest 2 so decided to give this a go and was pleasantly surprised…. fun game. Thanks for the heads up.
