  The 624 has been my go-to shoe for a long while.

  Recently I purchased a pair for myself and my wife. She tried hers on first and mentioned they seemed a bit low around the ankle. I tried mine on and it was the same.
  So it seems they have now decided to cut corners and save a few cents on the leather. The shoes are no longer comfortable (as they always were for years). They feel as though they are not holding onto your foot.

  Very disappointed because I don't know what other, reasonably priced, wide, leather sports shoes to move to.

    I'm in need of a new pair, had been looking around and reviews over the last 2 years on these have tanked.

    People citing quality issues, comfort issue and minor but undesirable manufacture changes.

    I'm of the opinion now that maybe a i should be looking for another shoe.

      Consider paying a bit more and getting a pair of 2002r or 993 or 990v3/5 made in USA but very comfy and quality.
