Fiji 5-Star All Inclusive Holiday: Flights, 5 Nights, All Meals + Drinks from $1,944 pp Twin Share @ Expedia

250

We just found an incredible holiday package deal to Fiji! Stay (dine and drink) for 5 nights at the 5⭐️Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort from $1,944 per person (departing Sydney or Brisbane/Melbourne for a small surcharge). Sounds expensive? Well, this Expedia package includes return flights, luggage and an all-inclusive stay with all meals and free flow beverages (yes, you heard that right!)! So looking at all the inclusions (plus the fact that drinks and food at a luxury hotel like this are usually pretty expensive) we think this certainly is a great value for money deal. We also compared prices to see if it's cheaper to book flights and accommodation separately: If you book directly at the hotel the 5-night All Inclusive Package for example dates would be FJD 4,805 (AUD$3,188). If you add flights you can expect another $500 per person on top. So the Expedia package offers the better deal!

Man these are always the worst deals

    • Why?

      • +1

Wet season - daily rain, hot and humid.

        • July is the best time for Fiji but the price is more than double.

        • Wet season really only until the end of March - I spent 10 days there a few years ago from mid-late april and I think had maybe 1 wet day the whole time, so I'd say anytime from mid-April would be good

  • +2

One of my friends family just used this and was all gung ho about how incredibly valuable it was. He spent 3200 for family of 4.

    • More info please im keen

      • The Fiji government did a massive promotion and subsidised a lot of the food packages to get people back after Covid. Unfortunately it looks like a lot of those deals have finished.

    • I agree more info

      • +2

Sorry, those days are over. Beginning of the year the Fiji government had some awesome 'Bula Bubble' deals to entice visitors back. Spent $6k for an 11 night package for 2 adults 1 infant at the Radisson in August. That was $6k in TOTAL, meals were included, 2 free drinks per meal, our tours, duty free, massages etc. I'm madly trying to find another deal to go back, but it will never be that cheap again for all that. Any package you take now without meals/drinks included will cost you a fortune in added extras.

        • Cheers thanks for the response. Normally we head to South East Asia ( Bali, Thailand etc.) as a family of 4. We have never been to Fiji, never really thought about it. Great work picking up a nice holiday package , we just got back from Canada and the flights cost me $8k for the family alone

    • Yes keen to know more, when did they travel and how old were the kids (I'm assuming)?

    • Not bad considering I just paid $2.7k for 4 night cruise in jan for family of 4

Last time I checked this is Ozbargain and Fauci is an American.

At least come up with a vaccine denialist slogan that involves Scomo or something.

      • -7

I think you'll find that term isn't "denialist" in the least, people proudly wore stickers & got tattoos with those words…if anything the DVs and your response highlights how fragile people are about it. Even the slightest inference of negativity towards C19 vaccination, however false, draws swift & severe ire. The fact is, Fiji & other countries have mandates in place. Pointing out the requirements that may preclude some users of this site is only trying to be helpful.

        • +1

I'm actually making a point about the encroachment of US politics on Ozbargain.

If it wasn't meant that way, your choice of the phrase 'fauci ouchie' suggests a certain viewpoint on covid vaccines.

You could have just said "Fiji requires incoming travellers to be vaccinated against Covid" or something similar if you were simply stating the facts for would be holiday makers.

Clearly others interpreted your comment the same way, hence the negs.

To add to your PSA, Fiji also says you need to show proof of holding travel. However, they didn't check last time I went and I haven't heard of this being an issue from other travellers.

          • -4

@Shoocat: Don't see how it's an encroachment of US politics / cultural imperialism etc etc, it was a light-hearted take instead of using the words "vaccine" etc, which seem to put everyone on edge. As I said, people literally got "Fauci Ouchie" tattooed to show their pride. This whole business has turned ordinary people into lunatics, most of it triggered by certain language.

            • +4

@Ham Dragon: Fair enough, apologies in that case - there's been a lot of US-style vitriol on Ozbargain lately, particularly the forums so it tends to colour the perception.

Also, my previous link should have said travel insurance… Copy/paste failure.

              • +2

@Shoocat: Appreciate that we can find understanding. Have a nice weekend!

      Is that you, Jeanine?

  • I consider this —> https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/727773
    a real fiji deal:)

  • 2 kids under 10 all included?

  • +4

    Drinks stop flowing at 9pm?!
I'm just warming up at 9pm!

  • Just remember to check cyclone season first :)

  • Kids free?

  • +3

Fine if you're happy to stay in a resort hotel complex with no beaches, snorkelling etc. on site. But you could be anywhere.

IMO, the only way to visit Fiji is on an island resort. Mamanuca or Yaswas. Highly recommend Octopus or Blue Lagoon.

    • +1

Just came back from both of these 3 weeks ago. Couldn't agree more. Denerau may as well be the Gold Coast.

    • yeah agreed, holidays like this are best for families, especially with younger kids (under 5/6) where you take advantage of the meals for the kids, hang out by the pool during the day, then ship them off with the nanny and kids club in the afternoon so the adults can have some time to themselves
if you're just a couple with no kids, or single even, i wouldnt bother with this

      • +1

They're pretty good as a multigenerational holiday. I stayed at one of the other resorts in Denarau with my parents and siblings last month (we're all adults). Easy for people to split up and do their own thing but still have dinner together and a bit of social interaction.

  • Good all inclusive deal. I wouldn't worry too much about the rain. You can still swim, relax, drink, eat and be on Fiji time :-)

  • +1

Sometimes it's tough being single. I could just book and pay for a fictitious second person and eat two buffet breakfasts and dinners each day👍

  • -2

Edit: Price has just increased to $1,989 per person on Expedia so looks like this deal is in hot demand.
