Hi OzBargainer’s
I need a good sofa bed. Something you can actually sleep on for a week if need be. Happy to spend on it if it’s good. I just have limited space or I’d buy an actual bed. Not Koala as too low for old people.

King Furniture if you have the budget.
King Furniture no longer Australian made. Quality has fallen off a cliff and they are now only trading on their prior reputation.
If you mean King Living I wouldn’t expect Australian made for their prices to be honest. Aussie made is crazy expensive these days :(
Do you mean King Living? Yes I can do that price if it’s comfortable! If so, any particular model? I see a ReoGrande and Oscar on their website?
No traditional fold-out sofa beds are not comfy enough to sleep on for a week. By design they are compromised as a sofa and compromised as a bed. They suck at doing either of those tasks.
Only comfy sofa bed is a fold-down futon. Anything with this style mechanism will be fine: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/nyhamn-3-seat-sofa-bed-with-foa…
Thanks mate for the feedback. I actually saw a design like this and wondered how it would stack up. Yes I’d get a proper bed I could but don’t have the space to have a bed out 24:7 in this room as need to use it as an office most of the time unfortunately.
I slept on a futon designed like that for the better part of 6 months and it was surprisingly good, far better than any fold out sofa bed I've ever slept on.
Didn't make for a great couch but it was decent enough. The space and decent sleep were more important bits.
Thanks for the feedback. Very helpful!
Completely disagree with the futon approach.
Poor as a sofa, hard and uncomfortable as a bed.
If OP’s constraint is space not money, maybe a Murphy bed, and use the space when it is folded away for something else?
I'm also looking for options - any more suggestions?
Ghosts need to sleep?
Lounge Lovers has some nice ones: https://www.loungelovers.com.au/sofa-beds
Have you tried these out personally?
Yes, I have the 2 seater crane model. Don’t think they have that model anymore. Very comfy.
Thanks for the review. I’ll Check them out.
This is a solid choice if you are short on room.

Get the foam mattress, not the pocket spring one. Usually use it for guests and can be extended to be a double bed (need an extra mattress) if it's a couple.
I've used it myself for 1-2 weeks at a time and it's been great. All other's that I've tried have been terrible so far.
Saw this from Plush and looked pretty decent, haven't slept on it though.
Thanks for sharing. That looks great but I need a double or queen to fit 2 people :(
We got a Flekke daybed from Ikea, pulls out to a king. All our visitors are very happy with it. Under $1000 with mattresses: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/flekke-day-bed-w-2-drawers-2-ma…
Thanks mate, that is a super helpful rec! I will check it out in person.
Hi OP, what did you end up deciding? In a very similar boat.
Me too! I actually need a couch/bed solution that I would sleep on EVERY night. My place is that small.
