Thanks; the Australian Unity insurance discount is only 10% off for new members (I'm a current member). I haven't checked if AU charges everyone the same or if you have to get a quote etc. (to check it really is 10% off)

I'm not staying with Australian Unity for a 10% discount. There is no 10% discount for staying with them.
I'm with Australian Unity because the alternatives offered lower value on higher prices. Not sure what you are saying in the last line.
Okay, I understand that it's easy to switch health funds. If I don't care what I'm ending up with inbetween being with Australian Unity.
I'm not sure if there's a headache involved in comparing the different offers and then there's a risk I may have to claim on that health insurance while I'm away from Australian Unity (so I'd want to make sure it covers what I want).
