    Obligatory pork bun comment

Cannot believe there was never a sequel

best looking Hong kong game map ever.

  • +3

I love this game. Thanks for posting.

This game was voiced by some of the biggest stars in the Hollywood / HK movie industry. You are getting a great experience for just a price of a cuppa.

    • +2

and from hong Kong as well, Jackie was voiced by Edison Chen, he was very famous in HK back then when the game came out.

      • +3

He is still very famous (or should i say infamous) now. For those who are not aware, just google his name. But NSFW.

        • from my point of view, he was never infamous, the only thing he did wrong was instead of apologising to the girls straight away he flew back to canada and hide. That was a bad move. But he is old now, and he doesn't really keep his look. he isn't what he once was.

  • No cloud saves on Steam.

GoG version apparently does have it but I haven't tested.

Great game but I never finished it. Went back to finish and found out no cloud saves.

    Highly recommended.

Great story, great fighting, not much padding, great pork buns.

Excellent game, wish they had gone on to make a sequel or another game in the same vein.

  • +6

This game is better than GTA V in some way with its more martial art combat gameplay. In GTA V, it is more about gunfight, while hand-to-hand combat is almost non-existent.

    • +3

Story and setting is better too. It just feels like a complete well-rounded game. It is simply the best game without a sequel

  • Would a M1 MacBook Air be able to handle this? That’s all I’ve got left but I did love playing the game back in the day

A man who never played sleeping dogs, is never a whole man!

Most underrated game ever. Worth it.

I will always up vote a Sleeping Dogs post.
One of my all time favourite games.
Screw you Square for screwing up it's sequel.

The beta for triad wars was an absolute mess so sadly it was for the best i think.

      • +2

Oh agreed. I got in to all the beta tests and kept thinking "Why!?"

  • +1

This is a great game albeit on the shorter side

  • +1

I'm hoping they made a sequel of this game, just too good.

And maybe the movie ah, miss those oldies hongkong triad movies.

  • How does this compare to the Yakuza games? I found them realllly slow.

    • Haven't played the Yakuza series, but this is more like GTA where it's open world and you can free roam and do whatever (steal cars, beat up people, etc.).
