This is a great deal. I’m currently transferring from cba to Suncorp.

    • from what % to what % ?

  • +3

    How is 4.34 a deal?

Have a chat with any lending specialist, pretty sure you'd get a better rate.

Going through a loan transfer myself.

Cashback of 3000 is very normal these days. Nothing special as well.

    • +2

      What rate are you getting?

      • I told my current bank that I'd move if I don't get a better rate. They went from 4.79 and 4.69 to 4.29.

Talking to a few lenders and getting offers less than 4.19.

Everything depends on a few factors as your LVR. So go to many lenders as possible and make them outbid each other.

4.19 sounds like a bank that hasn’t applied the last hike. Also very suss as you haven’t mentioned a bank

        • Hi @djbst, which bank is offering 4.19? I am paying lot more and in the market to refinance my loan.

    • Really? With offset and no annual fees for life of loan?

      • Yes with 100 percent offset.

You seems to be have a lot of interest in this post. Is this OPs 2nd account?

        • No, I’m in the process of moving to Suncorp. Would be happy to get a lower rate with offset and Jo annual fees for the life of the loan. I will look into the banks other person mentioned. Have talked with 2 brokers and the Suncorp deal seems great.

Who did you go with and what deal?

          • @onlinepred: Haven't mentioned any banks though.

            • @djbst: Sorry bigSam user below said this wasn’t a great deal and mentioned banks.

            • @djbst: Yea I can’t find a better deal. Can you please post one as you negged so you know of one.

500K minimum seems a bit high, these used to be 250K

still is for a $4,000 cash back with ST George, Bank of Melbourne, Bank SA and Westpac (Says $2,000 but will match $4,000 when you mention one of the other banks).

      • +1

Do they have offset and no annual fees?

      • Bank SA is $395 a year, $4000 rebate, 4.44%

Westpac is $0 a year, 4.24% for 2 years only, has offset.

St George is $0 a year, 4.34%, no offset or any other features.

Westpac seems the only good one out of the list you mentioned.

        • That 4.24% Westpac 2-year intro variable rate is without offset… for offset can usually get 4.44%, a bit more or a bit less depending on the loan amount & LVR, first year annual fee can often be refunded.
