    I bought this in a previous deal, and it was enjoyable but I found it very sweet. Is this a brewed ginger beer?

    Ingredients: Water, Cane Sugar, Alcohol, Fresh Ginger, Citric Acid (330), Natural Ginger Flavours, Preservatives (211).
    Traditional ginger beer is produced by the natural fermentation of prepared ginger spice, yeast and sugar. Alcoholic ginger beer has been gaining popularity as a replacement for traditional beer, as well as for a mixer in other drinks such as vodka or spiced rum. The combination of the sweetness from residual sugars, and spiciness from the ginger make it the ideal refreshing beverage. Brookvale Union Ginger Beer is a great Australian example.

    I'm not sure if this is marketing speak to make you think it's naturally fermented, or if it's just poorly written. I suspect the former though…

    No judgement here if you enjoy the drink, but it's a lot of money if this is just soft ginger beer with some ethanol added and a fancy can.

      We have a local brewery here that pride themselves on their proper brewed ginger beer… i can confirm they were saying these and many other "Ginger beers" are just flavored ethanol.
