  I hadn't been able to reliably use Freq Flyer points for flights anymore with these cancellations.
  So if using points to purchase items (yes I realise that's lowest form) it'd seem 1000 points = $5 therefore the deal seems to be:

  Spend $100 get $10 of value / 2,000 points
  Spend $250 get $25 of value / 5,000 points
  Spend $500 get $50 of value / 10,000 points

    No reward flight availability plus they should be paying you to fly with them currently given you could be stuck somewhere for an extra day with cancellations and miss work (literally just happened to me).

    So yeah real redemption value is pretty low right now.
