Luv A Duck Frozen Whole Duck

Roast Duck in 3 easy steps - If frozen, leave in bag and defrost fully in the refrigerator

  1. PREPARE: Preheat over to 190°C. Drain any liquid from the cavity, dry the skin with paper towel and season with salt. Never stuff the cavity of a whole duck only use this space for inserting herbs. This allows the duck to ventilate whilst cooking.
  2. ROAST: Place duck on a wire rack in a roasting dish and roast until golden and juices run clear. Approximate roasting time is 40 mins per kg at 190°C.
  3. REST: Allow duck to rest in a warm place for 20 mins before portioning.

Was just about to post it and refreshed the homepage to check.

    • He really grabbed the bargain in front of your eyes :(

Very interesting thought - $5.99 USD per pint cost in USA RRP. $9.46 AUD then 10% GST = $10.41 AUD. $6.50 to buy it in Australia is awesome.

Yeah that's because the dollar is shot and your looking at full rrp.

Agree though, awesome price at $6.50 for us.

  • Ben & Jerry Ice Cream is overrated. Just another ice cream.

    • I thought this till I tried there phish food from the woolys sale a few weeks ago honestly the best chocolate icecream I've ever had

    • Disagree, I don't think any other ice-cream compares, you just have to find your flavour, I don't like most of them tbh, but have my favourites.

We grabbed the Luv-A-Duck last time it was on special - was delicious!

    • Thanks OP. Time to clear space in the freezer. The 4 I bought last time on sale are gone….

    Is B&J better than connoisseur?

    • Depends on the flavor. BJ is usually very rich in flavour. connoisseur is very balanced IMO. I will let others chime in as I have tried only 3C and 2BJ flavors.

      • B&J, some might consider more exotic varieties (Cookie Dough) with Connoisseur a bit more mainstream (Cookies and Cream or Mint and Chocolate)

      • Not a fan of connoisseur, only icecreams I enjoy are ben and Jerry's and Aldi's obsession varieties

Or a good vanilla ice cream and some crushed violet crumble added

        • I found woolies and connoisseur vanilla to be the best tasting vanilla ice creams. If you know any other, please let me know :)

          • @[Deactivated]: Sorry I meant the flavoured ones are no good (except the vanilla), you probably have the best ones there, though I haven't tried the Woolies one yet.

    • thanks guys, time to raid the freezer:D

Just saw an older lady carrying out like 10 ducks from my local coles, with bags overflowing. Mad strength 💪, might be unlucky for some Ozbargainers with cleaned out shelves.

She might be grabbing these ducks for use at a local restaurant or catering business. Quite often if you don't buy these soon as they are on sale they sell out by Friday.

  • I love cooking me up a duck on my spit - but it was $13.90 when I grabbed a couple tonight!
