If you can't do a fresh install, Macrium Reflect Free has been the most seamless app for this. I've used it many, many times and never once had an issue cloning.
Most SSD's companies have software to migrate Windows to the new SSD. Have you looked?
use diskgenius to do a disk clone
I did this recently with Aomei Backupper (paid version). Super easy to do, 30 minutes and you have a bigger drive.
I've also done it with Samsung software which you can use if you bought a Samsung SSD.
Any of the disk cloning software will do it for you. Just have both drives connected, run the clone, shutdown computer, swap out the drive, done.
if you bought a samsung ssd.
the samsung migration software is easy to use.
otherwise, Macrium Reflect Free as someone else has pointed out is very good
Thanks, all sorted.
Fresh install and www.ninite.com is always preferable.
