Answer:Yes, I can confirm it works on my AU Switch original - the bonus content code that came with it won't work on the AU Nintendo shop, but if you change the region, or register a new account, you can download it, then switch back to your original account.

You’d need a UK account to redeem it. Once downloaded, it works with all regions of the main game.

It's listed in the expansion pass contents, but not sure if you need Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to play it or is that just for the other DLC contents in the pass…
