I think OzB should have an option or rule for deals on engine oil to specify type (synthetic, semi, mineral).
Personally, I'm buying minerals for my late 90s model and I more often than not need to click through to the deal and find the type either in the comments or on the link.
How old? I use this exact oil for a 2009 Mazda 3 with 200k km mileage and is fine. Keep in mind that it is not a top tier oil but if you change your oil within the service interval it should be fine.
yes. 40W on the hot end will provide good performance for engines with not so tight tolerances. syn or dino doesnt really matter. I will be picking up a couple of these for my 98 prado. See as all the $16 oil I had is gone.
