Is it still playable? Are servers still functional? My favourite MP games all died with GameSpy

ahhh this brings back memories.
this game was great, well executed and was a blast o play, leveling up your char which then opened more abilities or better gear was fun addition to boring MP games.
very strategic game play for such a basic game.
Awww thought this was a re release or something…. No way servers are still populated :(
What free first person shooters have offline bot campaigns? My internet is shot and can't do multiplayer.
To be fair, I played this almost on dial-up in 2004

Day of defeat is better imo. There is still a fair few servers if you want Axis or Allies
