Browsing the aisles at Bunnings today I came across these beauties.

AA

AAA

Arlec generally are considered to market cheap and somewhat crap electrical items.

I cannot speak for the quality, but they are less than half the price of the Duracell's and significantly cheaper than the Varta's.
Pretty sure they will actually be a completely different brand of battery but rebranded.

Cheap but they don’t last long.

    • Why not? Bad quality?

      • i think bobwokeup means expiry

  • Aldi have their home brand ones for $7.99 for 50.

Picked up a pack on the weekend.

    • Aren't they carbon-zinc?

      • these are fine for remotes and other low amp duties

      • Is there something wrong with buying zinc batteries?

        • They are garbage compared to alkaline. I personally would never buy them.

        • They will leak and cause corrosion at the contact terminal.

      • Nah their super alkaline ones

    • Is that the regular price or was it on special?

      LOL…

  • 4 months ago back in June, there was a deal posted on here. They were on sale for $5 back then.

  • I'm not gonna post it as a deal as I m pretty sure it's a listing error and not allowed, I highly doubt it's 2000mah per battery but that's what the listing says so hoping that Amazon will just give me a credit 😊 not sure if they still go through the returns process for international prime. Reviews are pretty crap for this too lol but oh well
