I ordered a Dell S2722DC 27" Monitor in September but the order stalled at the first stage. I followed up a week later and they cancelled the original order and placed a new order. I deposited the required funds via bank transfer but the new order did not progress either so I cancelled it after 5 days (I needed a new monitor quickly as the old one died).
I realise now I should have insisted on paying via credit card so I could at least reverse the transaction if nothing was delivered. I have had previous good service from Dell so had no reason to be suspicious. From all the negative reviews on a popular Australian review site (average score of 1.4 out of 5 for Dell Australia) it appears that it is quite common for Dell to accept orders and take people's money but then they fail to deliver the product in line with expectations.
The cancellation was acknowledged by email and I supplied my bank account details but am still waiting on a refund over two weeks later. Dell are unresponsive when following up via email.
Does anyone have any idea how long I should have to wait before they refund my money?
What did they say when you asked regarding the time for refunds to be processed via bank transfer?
Usually back transfer refunds can take 5-10 business days or even longer.
