Why would anyone buy this? I bought a Patriot Pyro 120G from Msy for $118. IMO Pyro is a better drive.
Vertex 3 had better performance than the Pyro and the Vertex 4 is faster again.
Non-compressible data speeds are crazy good on this drive, but after the whole Vertex 2 fiasco not sure if I'd be willing to try another OCZ SSDFunny cus my Vertex 2 never had any issues on my Macbook.
Would probably buy the Crucial over this though.Depends which version you got, the 34nm versions were fine, the 25nm versions had less space and a higher failure rate, along with reduced performance.
Ewww. Sandforce 2281. No Thank-you
This was a reply to dealsealer
It's not a sandforce controller…..
It's using Indilinx Everest 2 controller…
I think Hahuh is referring to the Pyro, which uses the Sandforce chip.
.
Does anyone deal with OCZ RMA? how long to get a replacement?
Used it once, from memory it was 4 weeks from submitting the request to getting the replacement drive
