Not a bad price for a good lens. I use this for my macro work, and it does a good job. Though if you are taking pictures of insects, the Olympus 60mm might be better for your use and is also a very good lens.

  • Any recommended budget mirrorless camera that can be paired with this lens? Or any other mirrorless camera? I like to take street and milky way photos. I might use that for Youtube too.

I dont think this is a suitable lens for your needs especially that you dont have a body yet. I am an old school tog so other people might have better recommendations on modern tech.

yes I agree, this lens is probably not ideal for what you have in mind (though it is possible).

Pretty much most cameras in the past 5 years with a suitable focal length will be fine for 'street' photos. Milky way shots will be more challenging on the type of gear you have, you'll want a camera with a larger sensor and a wider aperture.

  • Very tempting… I don't have a macro lens on any of my interchangeable lens systems. Not sure I will get around to much macro photography though.

    • Maybe just get some macro rings (spacers) to try on one of your systems? Then you can just do it with a normal lens.

Can also get tricky, and find an old 50mm and an adaptor to mount it backwards over one of your other lenses.

      All good fun.
