OLED looks better, no doubt, but I've had an OLED phone screen burn in and become dull over time in the past, so I prefer TFT now.

How do these compare to Surface pro?
Surface pro 9 is coming out, 8 is the current one.
Surface has TFT (IPS) screen, but it's a nice screen. Some say almost as good as samsung OLED…
Surface is heavier. And it has a proper windows OS which is great.
I have the S8 and an S20 Fe (OLED) and calling ithe s8's IPS as good as an OLED would be generous however it is quite good.
I have used the tablet for drawing without an issue, however I get distracted by black lines above and below videos in low light.
I wouldnt be comparing this to a windows laptop. Not that its a bad thing. Just horses for courses.
Why not? Similar price, size and formfactor. I would not be comparing it to a windows tablet only if Windows was x2-3 times more, but it's not the case.
As i said. Depends what you use said device for and ones familiarity with either system. If you are used to using windows it can be a jarring experience going to an android tablet.
@xoom: You can compare them, it is just a bit more factors to consider - if you are only using it for browsing and media consumption would not make any difference. If you are doing anything else - only then your experience may be different and then a similar in price and tech windows OS tablet simply wins. Or android has to be a lot cheaper to discount the inconvenience.
I saw Ultra with a big discount as well. But it is still $1300, without a keyboard. Very hard to justify that.
It's such a shame 13" Lenovo tablets are not available!
This or s7+?
I ended up getting an opened unused s8 from ebay for 660, it's the perfect size and a couple years newer than s7+, so a bit extra software support.
Any thoughts on this versus the S8+?
If the S8 had an OLED screen I'd be sold.
