Have a Gaggia fully automatic stainless steel machine and its been great and reliable, picked it up for $100 off marketplace.
This on the other hand looks very much like a cheaper clearance build.
Not really a review, but a demonstration

Agree it looks a little ugly, but likely performs as well as the others (eg delonghi magnifica), and a seemingly smaller footprint
I have one of this. Bought brand new for $195 last year from Catch. I use it specifically for long or short blacks. Simple one button use. If you are looking for simple not over complicated maintenance this is the machine. Previously used Barista Mini. The coffee was a bit better on the Mini. Coffee on the Gaggia is just too mild for my long blacks. Even setting the grinder on max. I would not pay more than 300 for a new one
Caution folks, dont fall Coscos last chance sales, they have a real habit of reducing it further again, like a week or 2 later, even after marking it out of stock. This Happened to the cuisinart ice cream maker , I paid $79 , then a week or 2 later, re advertised for $49
costco will give you a refund to the price difference if purchased within 30 days
Though it was an air fryer for a sec. That's a bit off a turn off for a coffee machine lol
