I sure can see the difference between 60hz and 120hz.
You decided to upvote the deal anyway? I guess you must enjoy playing video games at 24fps.
I dont even need 24fps when I just view picture slides of movies
Your trolling is too believable. 😂
I can see the difference between 165 and 240. I have this monitor and it's brilliant.. wouldn't really want to go back in hz if I could help it
I’ve never used a curved monitor (and note this is 1000r). How do you find working on it (writing, reading etc)?
Also, do you find it takes up a lot of space for a 27 inch?
Thank you
I've got it mounted on an arm next to a less aggressive curved 34" Ultra wide. It took a bit of getting used to but I think I actually prefer the 1000r curve now. No issues reading / working on it and space it takes up is minimal (obviously being next to a 34 makes it feel tiny)
@gabos: Thank you
a lot of games u can feel the difference, like geometry dash or some fps games
but u can feel the difference in some games
Picked one of the 27" up on Saturday and it is SUPERB.
Cannot tell the quality apart from the G8 31.5" 4k I had (that had a flaw and was returned).
Samsung seem to have some Q&A issues, but the one I got is flawless and 27" 1440P is perfect for me as I need flexibility with screens and this is my centrepiece now.
Would not recommend 32" in 1440P though, go the NEO Odyssey 4K if you want that size ($1800~)
The $599 price point for this quality and size is a good hit, and yes it does 1440p@120hz 10 bit colour with xbox series X, now tested, VRR, which doesn't work on ultrawides and superultrawides.
super tempted, was looking at 1080p 240hz for my gaming laptop, but this price is tempting to just grab a QHD 240hz for future proofing.
Just wonder if you could share if there's any issue if u fps cap to lower fps like 144 or 120 in the more demanding games?
laptop is on rtx 3070 but it's still just a laptop.
I run mine at 144hz anyway as it's flanked by two AOC C41G1's which are suprisingly good (I used to use three), just wanted the extra centre screen real estate for xbox. It will do xbox 1440P@120hz just fine, but only on 8 bit colour. It will take a 4k HDR signal, but only at 60hz. The HDMI is the issue here….
So depending on what you're connecting it with on the laptop, I've heard the VRR/Freesync can flicker under 60FPS, and even "turn off" under 48FPS, but I've not really tried so no idea.
The biggest issue is the damn thing going to sleep and will not come back on without power cycling, it does not seem to detect an active source and wake up, even with that feature specifically activated. Sometimes manually waking up it takes literally 5 minutes to come on, and right now it's sitting dead on my desk unless I turn the power off. Wen on, the picture is very very good, and I don't really want to send it back but even at $599 the damn thing should not have these issues.

And here's the 32" one alongside it as a direct comparison point to what the OP shared: https://tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/samsung_odyssey_g7_c32g75t
So after spending an hour trying to work out why this thing will go to sleep and never wake up, I've decided to return for a refund.
Widespread firmware issues I've experienced on the Neo G8 ($2k monitor) and also on this one just make me think Samsung aren't even trying to support and fix the firware, with issues dating back over a year all over the forums and reddit.
Basically they come down to GSYNC flickering (I've only gamed on xbox so far, that is fine) and also firmware locking up. I literally have to power it off and on again every time I want to change source, it's not good enough even for $400 off .
I'll wait and see what comes up in black Friday.
Oh, and the 1000R curve, it's a bit too much on a 27" monitor, ~1500R would have been better, it looks too much like an hourglass working at ~80cm distance, where 1500R actually looks "flat" - I personally don't mind too much, but I think 1500R is the right fit for me personally.
Shame,
It is visually one of the best monitors I've ever seen… it did also reveal that the AOC c24G1's I use it with are pretty good too, and they were like $275 each three years ago. I might have another look at what AOC have.
